I applaud that you did not venture into the cave alone. My pals always keep a man topside in case of trouble. Always carrying a satellite communicator as well as a cell phone. You may know, but a tip for others, cell phones do not work in caves, but some 2 way radios do. The pro models used by casinos and big hotels are in a strong frequency just shy of short wave, and perfect for caving.

Right off 491 just south of stage coach. west side of road, there's a pull in, park there and follow trail and you'll see a pond on your right, it's just a little further back towards the south. across the trail you'll see other openings in the woods but don't go anywhere. :-) Follow tree marker tape.
When exploring this area always look for marker tape attached trees, shrubbery and follow the tape. You'll be surprised where they lead you. Your welcome.
Trust me I’ll keep it secret, it’s a special place to me as well. What about the cave I never went down in? I used to go out here and stack the rocks in formations.
I've never been down it myself but I've heard the # 1 rule of splunking is always have a partner. Just looking down that hole I noticed very little room to maneuver and backing out may be an issue. I got photos of that site on my walls.
@@FLtrailblazer I've been down it a few years ago. A friend with bigger balls then me went further and I couldn't hear his voice for a while, he said it's a very tight squeeze. Not for me. Lol. When looking in the hole the passage is to your right and angled down and to the north.
I'm kinda on the fence about leaving caches or markers at these sites. Recently I was at the Atta ... (Can't remember the full name) trail in Withalacocee and some guy glued a paper to the map board at the entrance. He had his web site and a map of the sinkhole locations. When I got to one of the sinkholes he had the area taped off with his name on the tape. This is litter, as far as I'm concerned. If everybody did this the place would be a mess. Take only pictures, leave only footprint s is what I say.
I understand what the tape is used for Mr. pecker. But it's an eyesore and the the State of Florida prohibits this kind of thing. Do you still want to defend this litter?

If that cave is blowing air it is probably of considerable length and the possibility of multiple entrance and vertical potential.
