Hey hello bro , Big UP from France paris, i love your bike jewel you are a big boss
Hi thank you for watching from across the channel. Thank you for the kind comment. Much appreciated.
@@whitewellybmxrestorations thanks you for bringing thèse magnificent bikes from m'y slight
M'y slightly old génération back to life 💪
No problem
Ice toolz sells the best wire cutters, they have a built in deburring tool and crimper
Thank you for letting me know. Mine have some life left.👍
Question. When building the bike do you use the same grease for the whole bike? Do you have one you suggest ?
Hi thanks for viewing the video. I use LM grease which is a general purpose grease, nothing special. I also use an anti seize compound like copper slip on bolts that go into aluminium e.g stem bolts as the dissimilar metals can react and "weld" together. I've used these methods since the late 80s and never had issues. Hope it helps
@@whitewellybmxrestorations thank you. I'm in Canada and it's been DECADES since I had anything to do with a BMX bike. I've finally acquired my 4th 90s BMX and can now start the customization process for the wife, kids and I. I wanted to have the bikes built up for me but the cost associated is much more than I anticipated. A quote from last year has not remained the same & the pricing about doubled. Sooooo here I am trying myself. I picked up a used bike stand for $30 CDN & I just need to find a good grease on Amazon. I've already found the copper slip.
Which bikes have you got? Sounds like my kind of project.
Pricing can put people off but yeah give it ago. Have a look at my how to playlist. That should help out.
Also Harvester bikes in Canada will probably help out.
@@whitewellybmxrestorations I appreciate the reply. I've got a 1999 GT VERTIGO, its the smoked chrome version. I plan on adding some black SKYWAY TUFF II & black accents. I have a 1999 Dyno Compe that I've got painted in a metallic purple paint. Color scheme will be purple and white, with white mags. Another 1999 Dyno Compe chrome that will have pink accents & pink mags for the wife. Lastly I got a 1999 Dyno Zone in chrome. This will be done up with green mags & green parts for the little guy. The Zone has some GT vertigo parts and it's quite a nice bike. All bikes will be getting new decal sets to fit the color scheme.
Wow that sounds like a nice collection and brilliant colour scemes.. Most of my GT, powerlite and dyno are 1995. There is something about that year and I cant put my finger on it.
Tag me on Instagram with pictures. Would love to see them.
