    I'm originally from a war country where I lost every f**cking single thing and even some people I love. I migrated to Europe. I started a whole new life from zero and learned the new language and I'm completing my study at the university and already have a respectful workplace. I'm 26 now and I have more a lot to achieve in life but we have to believe and work guys 💪💪✌✌ I hope I can build my own business one day

    Phenomenal video.
    The idea of working for years without thinking of the reward is easier said than done.
    If I'm writing a book, it feels as if there needs to be an expectation of success in order to justify the work. The idea that nothing is going to come from it is very demotivating in practice.
    But I agree it's essential to work without expectation of reward, doing the work fir the works sake.

I dont do all that spam and follow for follow b*llsh*t. Also, I have learned life-changing discipline through running and gym. I really think that exercise and entrepreneurship go hand-in-hand. Thanks Chris, exactly what I needed to hear! I started a YT channel back in March and it's so easy to look at someone who got apparently got 100K Subs in 1 year and be like ''it's not working for me etc'', then I don't do a video for a few weeks! Day in day out I just need to crack on, bottom line!

      100%, I have a modest following but I understand the journey, that's why everyday I'm motivated. For every flash in the pan, overnight success story or superstar athlete, there's millions of people working day to day to improve by an inch. Somehow we focus on the anomaly and forget the reality. Focus on your current followers, that's what I do, they're kind enough to do your marketing for you

    im a guy from a horrible background. and that background cost me almost 2 decades of struggle. my best years, 20s/ 30s are gone with some things to show, more not. but i learned one thing: i start to do the extra shiddee behavior, the selfabuse, the laziness when i lack structure. corona made me hit a brick wall, THAT very brick wall. took away the gym, took away social life. my life is a dark place for years now. but why?
    because i realize, i crave structures in my days. and im trying to wherever i can, implement them. yeah i can sleep whenever i want for how long as i want. video games! no responsibilities in life - a free man. but it feels horribly wrong! and to still have this burning radical feeling of "this is wrong, it needs to change, i miss out on the true stuff" - thats a good sign. i hope i can be back on my best track so i can achieve my best version in my 40s finally. i DESERVE it.

    going: Do atleast 10 push-ups minimum every day while increasing the total each day. By the 2 week mark, you’ll have the will power and discipline built up to transfer to an actual gym. While these two weeks are going by, construct a workout and meal plan so when you hit the gym, you already have all the guesswork taken out. You got this!

    • @1STMAN
      @1STMAN  4 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Thanks Lewis, that's very kind of you. 100% great question: When you expect you do two things, 1. stop working for the love of your craft. 2. You change your approach. Expecting results makes people frustrated and bitter, "why did he blow up when I've been doing this twice as long, his content is terrible" bla, bla, bla. Keep your head down, focus on the customer, the user, the product, the service. The moment you focus on profits or expectations, you start to make short term decisions such as lets release this early because "I want a new car I deserve it I've been doing this long enough". Plus nothing is guarenteed. This generation and especially the next have all grown up with expectations, they think they're owed something - Like Brad Pitt said in fight club; "We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars, but we won't. We're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off" You could work for 10 years and do everything right and still not make it, who saw Covid coming? I was 2 months away from starting filming for the streaming platform. But I didn't get pissed, just figured that's life. If you expect you become reactive and desperate. If you work with no expectations you become agile and proactive during times of change and uncertainty

    I just have one question:
    Assuming I'm welling to do all the work it takes and I'm willing to be as patient as it needs, what exactly should I do to get rich?
    Like in a practical since what specifically are the things I should do to actually get rich? (Not in a broad general sense, but in detail).
    I been wanting to ask this question to almost every single self help person i follow.
    Thanks

      I am nowhere near successful, but the trend tends to be this - the more broad and effective self improvement techniques you integrate (gym, meditation, reading) the easier it becomes to get the ideas, the knowledge of what to do. You learn frameworks for success (read Alex Hormozi) and mindsets. It's not the idea you need, it's the execution and that only comes from broader mindset shifts. I would never have been consistent in the gym if all I focused on was the techniques and diet. That's important but I saw that discipline was important for everything else, so I started.
      Hope this all makes sense - you decide the steps you take, and you take better steps with a better mindset.

      For women it's different yeah their looks fade
      But for men sacrificing so many years they may not be in their fighting prime, their stamina and strength fades.

      This is a very specific scenario. For any sports it's different. Athletes are done when everyone else is just beginning. It makes a lot of guys feel insecure, how is McGregor so young and so rich? But the tables turn once the attention drifts post retirement

    • @1STMAN
      @1STMAN  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The progression bias. Everyone thinks what they want right now is what they'll always want. If you want to know if something is productive, ask yourself, will 35 year old you be thankful?

    A little off topic, but I had an encounter the other day where a female pointed out my eye contact. It's something that I guess has always come natural to me but it's the first time anybody has ever pointed it out and I really didn't know how to respond so I just took it as a compliment. What would you do in that situation?

    The unfortunate fact about the space you’re in, is that the majority of men don’t want to hear the messages you’re spreading, even though they need to hear it. The idea of ‘bring value to people and you are rewarded’ is missing one key word. It’s actually ‘bring perceived value to people and you are rewarded’. Even though you bring more actual value than the vast majority of men’s advice channels, they bullshit their viewers enough that the perceived value they offer is higher, thus they get rewarded more.
