1:01:37 on Annual leave wages. In 2018 if ALW is 11 In 2019 if ALW is 11 + carry forward 11 from 2018=22 You are right till here In 2020 if ALW is 11 then carry forward will only happen from ALW eligible in 2019 i.e. 11 ALW from 2019. Total will be 22. By 2020, the ALW from 2018 have already expired. Total can't ever in this examples be 33. The way you explained gives an impression that ALL 33 ALW are invalid.
49:00 u said 2 months? Sec 53 on Compensatory holidays is either in that month when worked or within 2 months following that month. Pasted below -(1) Where, as a result of the passing of an order or the making of a rule under the provisions of this Act exempting a factory or the workers therein from the provisions of section 52, a worker is deprived of any of the weekly holidays for which provision is made in sub-section (1) of that section, he shall be allowed, within the month in which the holidays were due to him or within the two months immediately following that month, compensatory holidays of equal number to the holidays so lost.
Sir as u said the agreement or contract says lay off or EL shud not exceed 12 days..... But in example lay off=20 days.... So I shud not b included in 240 days rite... Only maternity leave =10days will be added to 225 days..... = 235days
The Act does say worker will be paid if he has worked 2/3rd of the total number of days in a calendar year. 2/3rd in decimal is 0.67 but while explaining you just rounded it off to 220 days by removing 5 days. Although It doesnt fit into the example given, but it gave a wrong impression. Anyone who wondered why he didnt calculate using 225 and how he got 11 see the below: Worker gets 1 day AWL every 20 days in total 12 months, it will be:- Jan : 1 day AWL Feb : 1 day AWL Mar : 1 day AWL & so on Till December total 12 Days AWL So if worker gets 12 days AWL for 240 days, then for 225 days he is eligible for how many days AWL? Cross multiply. 225X12 / 240 = 11. 25 days AWL. But then he cant be paid for the additional 0.25 day as per Act anyway, hence the calculation was done at 220. Hence, payable only 11 days AWL.
It is weird that child can work between 6am and 10pm. Article 24 of the Constitution prohibits employment of children below the age of 14 in factories, mines, and other hazardous...

Sir kindly solve the question of July 2018 NET i.e. A worker working in a factory has worked for 225 days during the calender year 2017. He has been laid off for 20days as per standing order and has also availed 10 days of leave with wages during the said year. How many days of leave with wages he shall be entitled to during the calender year 2018?
@@kumarrajeevraaz1651 for calculating total working days laid off and leave as per standing order will be taken into consideration i.e. 225+20+10= 255 But for calculating nxt year leave entitlement it will be calculated on actual worked days i.e 225/20= 11.25 so round off 11 days leave.
