      Had to call an ambulance the other day, before speaking to them it took ages but ambulance itself took just over 2 or 3 minutes

    Wow, i live in Indonesian.
    And i amaze that the facilities inside an ambulance are better than the entire facilities in our state own hospital.

      Unfortunatly, This is the world we live in. Capitalism. Except no ones equal :(
      If I'm honest, i'd rather call an uber than call an ambulance in New York; Uber will probably be faster
      Furthermore, Places like Scotland and Archepeligos have to spread their budget out alot. Realisticly, they can't build a 5 floor multi-million pound hospital on every island with like 60 people on it :|

    Can the paramedics hear the 999 call whilst en route to the scene?

    • @adlinks662
      @adlinks662 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      No. Although the majority of that is said is typed up in the screen they see on board. So they have an idea of whats going on. Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). Police use a similar system.

      Mr Brasso1 Can100% confirm they can’t, as a call handler we type all relevant info into the cad system and the dispatcher will pass any relevant info to the crew via the console in the ambulance or via voice on the radio

      It depends. It varies weather its a category 1 Call or the patient requires urgent care etc...
      Also depends on what ambulance service, where in the world, what country and what kind of ambulances/technology they have

    • @Fasty8Gaming

      They might not be assigned for emergency intervention. Most commonly, Advanced Paramedics respond to Category 1 calls such as Cardiac Arrests, Stabbing etc

    The suspension on the present G4S ambulance is appalling and if the vehicle suspension cannot be adjusted then modifications must be made to the patients seat. Add a few springs or rubber blocks.

    5 emergency calls in 8 hour shift??????? I love our services but something needs to be done. those numbers in my opinion are terrible. More motorcycle crews needed, ambulances need to be the evac vehicle not first responder.

    BP is 67/47? How? Bp is measured in 2's it's either 68 or 66 / 48 or 46, can't be an odd number!

    • @jackeatley
      @jackeatley 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      The NIBP function on the lifepak will report odd numbers, as will most other electronic machines. Some people will report numbers between the markings on a manual spyg as odd numbers, I know some people get very funny about it, I don't see it being worth worrying about, if someone can take a manual well enough to be having that discussion they are doing things right.
