- Finally! I have been waiting to get all my stage lights together to finally be able to make the into video for my Honda scooter I imagined. In this video we take a test ride and a look at my Retro 1980s Honda Lead NH80 80cc Scooter. The lead was sold under the Aero name in japan and Lead in all other counties. Its an 80cc 2 stroke scooter making about 6.5hp. Don't forget I'm doing weekly uploads heading towards the big goal of 10,000subs!

Owned a couple of these. They get under your skin. Loved the intro!
I achieved 100km fuel range to the red reserve and another 20km on reserve.
The left tab on centre stand scrapes in hard cornering.
They don't have the acceleration from a stationary to match contemporary traffic.
I really enjoyed this. I found a Honda lead out for rubbish collection yesterday. I picked it up (and all the assorted bits lying alongside the heap) and put it into the back of my Honda Jazz. Now I'm researching thees scooters for the restoration process. I know nothing about them and i don't have a riders licence.... yet.
Great video! I own 2 1983-84 Aero 80's and 2 1985 Aero 80's. I love them and they are so much fun to drive. My dad owns a 2001 Elite 80.

Very nice impression! I bought a new Lead 80 in 1985. And despite me being 200cm tall, I loved it. Zipping thru traffic, having fun, being young. The only disadvantages where the high fuel consumption, and it was too small for two people. So after a year I swapped it for a Lead 125. Aah, good times!

Great video, I use my Lead every day and have several others including the 125 which is a 2 stroke. Brilliant for round town and shopping with the usefull floorspace. Check out the "peugeot sc" which is the same mechanically but different back end which looks better. I actually built one with a lead front and peugeot rear as everything mounts on the same frame.......(I am in France and maybe there are no Peugeot sc where you are)......the ultimate "80s" look is surely the Honda Spacy which is in amongst my projects.

Mine is overhauled, I went out today to check the speed, we have such a short stretch, I took a position to break the record like you , haha, also 70km/h

I've got an '85 Aero 80.
Bone stock but restored mechanically and it can hit 77km/h in a tuck (gps).
Super peppy for its size. Great fun.

ive been dailying my NH50 for 3 years now. ive bought and sold maybe 10 scooters since but im never selling the Lead. I think i might upgrade to 70cc soon now that it has over 32,000 km's. Still goes 60kmh on stock everything.

So I actually own the nh125 I can verify that the nh125 is indeed 2 stroke and it is the largest 2 stroke scooter honda ever released in America and it was on in America 1 year 1984
