If I had the money to fund the sequel I would have given it already...this movie was directed masterfully and the acting was superb. The writing and characters - especially Lisbeth - are absolutely captivating. I can't forget how the soundtrack flows with the story flawlessly and envelops you into their world. Movies like this don't come around often.
I think the soundtrack is especially important in the way the movie gives that cold, sinister atmosphere, and I thank Trent Reznor for that! Also the screenwriter/director & actors, but I think cinematographers as well as composers are underrated
I just saw this movie last night. Everything about it was amazing. Even with the fact that it is almost three hours long, it keeps you captivated the whole entire time. It's one of those movies that you would go back to the theater over and over again to see. I can honestly say that I have not seen a movie up to the standard that this one is in an ungodly long time, and I can't wait to go back to the theater tonight, to watch it all over again. (:
This movie was such a damn good movie. I was thoroughly invigorated by the script and also challenged by the complexity of the plot. One of my favorites.
To think that in other reality we got a Trilogy of the books directed by David Fincher, makes me so jealous. Could've been one of the best trilogies of all time.
each shot looks amazing. what's even more amazing is that the shots will be composed with great editing like all Fincher's other films. the way he uses the scenery and setting is like no other filmmaker.
Woah. I love this trailer. The emotion is amazing. The depiction of Blomkvist and Salander is great as well. I really hope they could make the sequels as well. I'm reading the last one at the moment, so I'm really hoping for that one in particular. So far so good! I can't wait to see this!
You can see that in the movie there is a perfect amalgamation of the filmmakers thoughts , feelings and vision with the subject matter and that gives us a truly wondrous film. I just have seen this movie at 'Popcornfreak'
There's such a brilliantly kinetic energy to this film that it is impossible not to be enthralled by it.Give it a chance and watch it on 'Popcornfreak'.
I have never bought a book or rented one in my life. After watching this movie I read the books. This is the best movie I have ever seen in my life. I have watched it probably 11 times. also 20.
I love all the people who are saying that the trailer is too long or too slow. This is an 8 minute pre-release preview, not a theatrical trailer. It's meant only as a teaser for the film, not an advertisement in the way a typical trailer is. The film has all of the normal teasers/trailers as well if you take a look for them. This looks unbelievable
I suggest everyone to read the book before you watch the movie. ( If you haven't already) The book is awesome, one book that I couldn't put down when reading! Pumped for this movie!!
I've seen all three of the swedish films, and they were great. I cannot wait to see this, but whilst this version may end up being better I doubt anyone could beat Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth, she owns that role.
Daniel Craig is already booked for The Girl who Played with Fire, hopefully David Fincher directs it. Loved this movie, also loved the book. Absolutely worth reading.
Thank god that the producer went the extra mile and shot the film on location in Sweden. If the movie become a box office hit, hope the can do the the oter two books too, and maybe the forth unfinished book too.
The film has undertones of comedy, drama, suspense thriller and maybe even horror. It is a funny character study and is unlike anything else I have ever seen. Don't forget to see it on 'Popcornfreak'.
that was the best trailer of the movie ive seen yet. it defiantly juss made mee wanna goo see the movies. ive always wanted too read the book but never got the chance. now iim gunna have too before going to go see the movie.
I can not wait till it comes out! I'm very excited this is going to be a great movie to enjoy and ultimately enjoy the screen play. David Fincher is awesome...
For everyone complaining about why theres an American one. The film was actually in pre-production here BEFORE the swedish film. Stop whining. Thats why its called an adaptation people. There are several film adaptations of numerous books.
i tried to concentrate while viewing because my son mentioned to not miss a 'LINE' or 'WORD' or you may be lost and I was....actually changed channels after 30 minutes??? my son and I will watch it together today..Sunday. Impressive character actor caste.
Completely agree... Though, Noomi deserves props. While I definitely prefer Rooney's performance and interpretation of the character. Noomi was incredible and deserved all the praise she got for the role. She was absolutely, the best part of the Swedish adaptation.
This looks amazing! I first thought, how can they make a trailer this long without revealing way to much? I've seen it done in one minute trailers. But this was extraordinary and I will definitely go and watch the movie :)
Look at all these haters! I love it! You know a movie is going to monumental when people lash out at it the way these you-tubers have. Gotta love it. You REALLY know a movie will be great when these so-called 'fake-accent-haters' take out time in their precious day JUST to post their hate. Only a true hater would waste their time on a movie they don't want to see.
@LittleImpaler that's not how I meant it at all. Obviously this is publicizing the movie, but in the film industry, trailers for a movie are either "Teaser" (30 seconds), TV (45-70 seconds, depending on airtime), "theatrical" (2 minutes and change, for before a different movie), or "pre-release". Pre-release trailers are meant to summarize a film that is either esoteric, or has a lot of hype built up around it, in order to assuage some viewer doubts and get them to go see it
@NoblesseOblige320 Exactly. At first I feared that this would be another dumbed-down Hollywood adaption but I'm very glad to see that they're sticking faithfully with the source material. So excited for it.
@JoeNostalgiaReturns Some of the orignal cast in the Swedish version is in the American version. The guy who played Martin in the Swedish version is also in the AMerican version.
The one before the titles or the one during the titles? Anyway the names of the songs are 'A Thousand Details' and 'Cut Into Pieces', both by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross.
I am reading this book at the moment, and I think I am going to finish it first before watching the movie. It's too fascinating. Stieg Larsson is just the best. And of course, David Fincher.

I've seen this movie 2 years ago and I still come back from time to time to watch the trailers again lol
'Cause trailer is better ;]
False. The trailer only has two Trent Reznor songs
Max Payne the music at the end of this trailer is so great. one of my favorites from trent and atticus. i wish it was in the movie!

I love how the trailer is like the movie,it builds up with suspense the more you get into it

I like the fact after seeing this solid remake that it turns out that this trailer didn't show us everything.
if in a 10 min trailer you would see everything, why would you wanna see the movie? smart! NOOT :)))
How a trailer can be 8 minutes long and still make me excited to see what's going to happen in the movie... That's something!
Fantastic trailer!
This movie looks so unreal. I got chills at the end of this trailer.
this is the best trailer ever!
and most likely the longest ever made. It takes SO much away .
You can see that in the movie there is a perfect amalgamation of the filmmakers thoughts , feelings and vision with the subject matter and that gives us a truly wondrous film. I just have seen this movie at 'Popcornfreak'
This movie was SO good. Recommend it to everybody. It's almost 3 hours, but you won't even realize. It's that good.
There's such a brilliantly kinetic energy to this film that it is impossible not to be enthralled by it.Give it a chance and watch it on 'Popcornfreak'.
Finally!! A true adaption of the book. Plus you get the extra bonus of one of the most brilliant directors of all time - David Fincher.
this is one of the most finely tuned and stylish films that i've ever seen. as they say, it's an instant classic.
I have never bought a book or rented one in my life. After watching this movie I read the books. This is the best movie I have ever seen in my life. I have watched it probably 11 times. also 20.
ABSOLUTELY so excited for this movie.
I can't wait to see this movie! I think it's going to be hands down the best of 2011. David Fincher is a genius! Best director of his generation.
I love all the people who are saying that the trailer is too long or too slow. This is an 8 minute pre-release preview, not a theatrical trailer. the last 2 min climax is unbelievable. i missed it when i was in poland...now i'll have to watch it dubbed...!!

THIS LOOKS SO GOOD.

this is the best movie i have ever seen in my life.
I've seen all three of the swedish films, and they were great. I cannot wait to see this, but whilst this version may end up being better I doubt anyone could beat Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth, she owns that role.
I only got to see the third part, now I am happy to discover that there are in fact two more parts of this good stuff HELL YEAH!
AWESOME film!!!!!! just saw it and can't stop thinking about it. read the book too and that was already mind-blowing. love the story, the characters.
Amazing trailer!! I was completely frozen for 8 min and 24 sec :D
Love both versions of this wonderful movie.
David Fincher is a master of thriller!
This just made me want to see this film sooo badly.
It looks like Mara was the one who posed as Harriet in the photo... :P
Can't wait to see it!
Daniel Craig is already booked for The Girl who Played with Fire, hopefully David Fincher directs it. Loved this movie, also loved the book. Absolutely worth reading.

Great film, cant wait for the next one. They did miss out a lot from the book though.
The film has undertones of comedy, drama, suspense thriller and maybe even horror. It is a funny character study and is unlike anything else I have ever seen. Don't forget to see it on 'Popcornfreak'.

I am so looking forward to this movie. Just a flawless trailer... I actually expect it to better than the Swedish version
What a great film! Go to the movies now!!
I have seen this film, fantastic one!
This looks amazing, I read the books and saw the original Sweedish movies so I'm looking forward to this.
@LittleImpaler in the book, the tattoo wasn't covering her back entirely. it was on the left of her shoulder blade... so it remains true to the novel.
Going to see it in 3 hours! Best way to spend my christmas EVER!
For as long as this movie was it never felt like it.Good movie.
glad a good director like Fincher did this english version
An eight minute trailer but it still doesn't give the whole movie away.
I love Mara's voice as Lisbeth!!! Her accent sounds so cool...
Look at all these haters! I love it! You know a movie is going to monumental when people lash out at it the way these you-tubers have. Gotta love it. Saw it tonight! It was great!!
I loved Mara's play. She's MAD (in good way)!
Watched the Swedish version of this film, was amazing, as expected from the book, can't wait to see the American. :)

Gosh! Rooney Mara is just A-MAY-ZING!
OH MY GOD!!!! I want to see this so bad!!!! I loved the book so much aaaaahhhh
Cant believe an 8 minute trailer can be exciting. To Ms. Rooney Mara: Marry me
It looks interesting, I'm not completely sold though. I'll wait this one out until it hits DVD or Cable.

@NoblesseOblige320 Exactly. At first I feared that this would be another dumbed-down Hollywood adaption but I'm very glad to see that they're sticking faithfully with the source material. So excited for it.

Geez, 8 minutes... That was a great movie.
I wish this will be shown in the Philippine theaters.
@JoeNostalgiaReturns Some of the orignal cast in the Swedish version is in the American version. The guy who played Martin in the Swedish version is also in the AMerican version.
This looks amazing. I'm going to go start the book now, and then I'll hopefully get to buy it after it comes out in theaters.
Soundtrack tonight!
Ahhhh!!!
This movie was amazing...
Read the book! It's very well written. I haven't seen the movie ... yet. This trailer looks good though.
Almost done reading the book, not gonna see the movie till i'm done, but this looks great!
Sweden should be THANKFUL that they have David Fincher adapting their novel!
I saw the swedish one and I found it perfect, that's why I have very high expactations on this, hopes that it dont let me down! :)
The one before the titles or the one during the titles? Anyway the names of the songs are 'A Thousand Details' and 'Cut Into Pieces', both by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross.
man, i am soo excited!!
I am reading this book at the moment, and I think I am going to finish it first before watching the movie. It's too fascinating. Stieg Larsson is just the best. And of course, David Fincher.

I'm nuts to see this trailer, but I'm still reading the book!!!! AAHHRRRGGG
