About the boat,
Sea Star is a Bavaria 36, Built in year 2000 and is a 3 Cabin, one head layout with a linear galley. She is equip with an inboard Volvo Penta MD2030 engine that produces 29bhp. Up front we have a Genoa, and slab main sail.
That’s amazing. What a transformation. 👌
Looking great!!
Thanks 🙏
Looking good 👍 . Didn't know they had a rope cutter. Interesting.
Aftermarket rope cutter from ambassador Marine UK, cutter and anode
Brilliant job, looks immaculate now, and presumably more efficient when sailing.
Thanks 🙏 hope so now 🤣👍
I was wondering what that device was on the prop. Thanks for educating me. Nice tidy job done there and looking good.
Thanks 👍
She is looking terrific. Sure i read somewhere they were doing work at glasson dock ,would you move if it was possible Nick?
Thanks Ian, paid up to December at Fleetwood and I do t want to risk glasson unless the can guarantee no more gate issues.
I'll be honest I think it's been a bit more than 'a couple of years' since Sea Star has been out of the water....Top job to get her back looking as good as new! (You could have maybe done a 'time lapse' of how long it 'really took' to get Sea Star looking like that again,,,..🙂 👍 Interested to know how much that would have cost if you had got a boat yard to do that for you)
Thanks 🙏 about 2.5 years approx been in water. She’s been out the water a week and a half. But I’m a hard worker 🤣
@@SailingSeaStar_ I’m a hard worker 👍🙂 🤣I never doubted that. Pretty amazing that parts of the keel is back to bare metal in 2.5 yrs 😲 (and the fowling to the prop and rudder... (Full disclosure, I know nothing about sailing or yachts apart from what I watch on YT)
about 2.5 years approx been in water.
I'm guessing the last time it was done, it was not done as thouroughly as you have been 🤔
Yes I think so, I also have used better antifoul and primer coat than was used in past. Should be all good now
Looks a lot better nick.
How hard is it to rename a boat? Is it a lot of paperwork or just a case of painting over original and renaming what you want? (
Triumph of the sea) keeping in theme with your tiger and bonneville.
Easy really just contact correct department and rename but I’ll keep it as is 🤣🤣👍
@@SailingSeaStar_ Rename a boat 😲😲😲 I think Sea Star is a great name anyway. 🙂
It's bad luck to re-name a boat. Allegedly
