Explore around the internet and try everything even remotely interesting out. Install something like blender and try 3d graphics to see if you like it. Maybe Vscode + Python or JavaScript to try and make a simple piece of software. Or maybe a DAW/Synthesizer to see if you like music production. Try as much as you can until you find something that genuinely interests you. Once you do find something, it'll be easy to get better at since you already enjoy it. A note: Online information is everywhere and free and I HIGHLY recommend using it to your advantage. It's much better than paying $30-70k for tuition to go classes which may have information that already exist for free online in the form of documentation, TH-cam videos, or education sites like Khan academy. College is so you can get a degree in the field you like. Keep exploring and I hope you find something you love!
Engineering/computer science both lead to very highly paid careers even if you don't do well whereas most degrees today are worthless and difficult to find any graduate job at all let alone one that pays well.

Being a consumer is not interesting no matter what you consume. But being a producer can be interesting no matter what you produce, if you’re good at it

People can dramatically change their lifestyles and work ethic in 4 months let alone 4 years. Find your motivation to change yourself. Analyze your weak and strong. Implement a plan based on that analysis. Finally, put in the effort. It's hard to get out of your comfort zone, but it's definitely possible and it's definitely worth it.

I really do want to get into an Ivy league Uni like Harvard or Standford, so I feel very helpless sometimes thinking about how this unavailability would affect my chances of getting into a honourable educational institution.

Indian living in America here, I would just say: get really good at just one thing, do well in your grades and exams and stuff, but do really well in the subject you want to move forward in. For engineering, coding (you can join coding competitions), medical or any form of STEM career, do science competitions and try to place in all of them. Colleges prefer kids that do really well in one thing rather than being mediocre in everything.

If you still want advice as a sophomore now, I'd say join clubs specified to yiur interests, apply to summer programs, create a passion project specified to your interests, and develop a passion for something. You don't have to neccesarily do anything in specific, but what colleges look for is passion. Just do your best. I believe in you ❤ P.S.
