- Hello.
In this video I will show how to make a vacuum pump in one minute. This syringe vacuum pump can be used for packaging and storage of food, as well as for pumping air from the vacuum chamber.
To make a vacuum pump with your own hands, you will need:
- 100 ml syringe
- A tube
- Ballpoint pen with button
- Balloon
- Metal ball
- Adapter from tube to needle

You would have to reverse the valve to inflate balloons. However, the kind of valve used here would make it quite hard. You might have to use a completely different valve altogether

Can I use a check valve instead of using that steel ball inside the plastic tip? Looks like its supposed to act as a check valve.

How many mm or inch is the metal ball? Is the metal ball 1/8"?
What is the inner/outer diameter of the tube? Is that silicone tube or what tube?
Just put the ball who fit in the 2nd part of the seringe ! Same thing for the tube, silicone / plastic / metal / wood / alluminium / rocks will all work perfectly
Is it better to put the vacuum vegetables in the fridge or in room temperature?

the air flow seems wrong in your video. the air must be filled in tube if you pulled the trigger and air out on the hole with ballon when you push the trigger

Yes, with this vacuum pump you can’t inflate a balloon. In the description there is a link to a vacuum sealer with external check valves. It works both ways. Although it seems to me that it will be easier to inflate the ball with your mouth)

Можно и 100 лет. Но зачем так долго хранить продукты, если можно купить свежие и порезать?
Но я, например, выезжая на природу на несколько дней, вакуумирую все, что нужно для питания. В таком виде овощи, фрукты, колбасы и другие продукты питания намного дольше сохраняют свою свежесть, не вымазываются, на них не попадают лишние микробы и т.д. Кроме этого упакованные в вакуум продукты занимают мало места. Но если вам это не нужно, то просто не делайте это.
На месяцы или даже годы вакуумировать ничего не нужно. Иначе это уже будет консервирование.
