A coal mining site is being restored and reclaimed in Jharkhand

The mining operator, The Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), has so far carried out reclamation work in about 272 hectares. It includes tree plantations, an eco-park, and a few water bodies.
Reclamation and rehabilitation are an important and mandatory process part of the overall mining activity once the minerals from a mine are exhausted and the mine is closed.
