Beautiful camping spot and drive in. That one giant boulder in the middle of the road was terrifying to think about being unfortunate enough to be there when it came down. We had an earthquake here a couple years ago that took out one of my favorite camping spots in the Sierra nevadas, falling granite claimed it!!
@@RenaissanceMan Sounds like Canada still has restrictions happening? Harrison is closed I saw? Wow even NZ has eased up and welcomed tourists. Hope it's a free land again next year!
Good content. Like the different advice you give especially at the end when talking about the sound of the river. Will keep watching for upcoming videos.
It’s beautiful in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦 so many take it for granted. Jeju Island, Jirisan National Park and Gyeongju’s Pink Muhly Field look like some amazing places I would love to check out if I make it to South Korea one day! 🍻
@@RenaissanceMan wow you know a lot about korea! i think your channel will be soon popular! cheer up amd keep up the great work as you have made so far. many of foreigner just like me who would love to see beautiful canada, camping, food it s great!
One of my favourite things to do in life exploring some old forest roads, never knowing what’s at the end. I found many hidden gems in my travels. Are you going to keep uploading to TH-cam? I’ve watched a few of your videos, great stuff! Cheers
@@RenaissanceMan Thanks for your interest in my channel! I am still going to post more content, it's just been a bussy year. I have a lot of adventure footage though and once I get around to editing I'll get some more videos posted.
@@wildernessfieldjournal8211 can’t wait to see it! That’s the problem is all the time for editing my videos are falling months behind, originally wanted to upload real time. It’s just not possible with these kinds of videos.
Man i only ever camped here once, I wanna go back, but I dont drive, so my friend will have to drop me off, I have never worried about Bears too much, but i guess if i bring bear spray hopefully be fine lol
That’s a good friend to take u all the way back there just to drop u off. I would worry much about the predators in this area. I do because I have a baby to watch over and predators are known to go for the young. Word of advice go in the week if possible or very early weekend, as it’s fills up quickly on weekends. Have a Blast! 🍻
Awesome very nice to hear ! 🙏🏼 So this campground has recently been taking over and maintained by 4WDABC (Four Wheel Drive Association of BC). Great Club I recently joined myself. The Four Wheel Drive Association of British Columbia is a registered non-profit society that advocates for Public Access to Public Land. Check them out! Answer to your question yes it’s FCFS and free of charge. As long as everyone does there part and packs out what they pack in. This Gem will be well maintained for years to come! 🍻
@@RenaissanceMan thank you so much 🙏 I will check that, so good that some people are taking care of those beautiful place 🙏 I really like your video and finally got my Mariner 4 with Trolling Motor and excited to try it out next week end 😁
Great video man. I've been to the north Chehalis side and really enjoyed it, I'll probably check this one out in 2022. Do people take tent trailers up this way or is that a bit overkill? I wouldnt take mine to the north side as that last 300m gets a bit rough, is this similar or easier? Are there any good spots along the way there that is close to water that I could set up as well? Is that Elbow lake a bit too close to civilization to set up? Cheers, and thanks
I’m still yet to drive to the North campground, so I’m not sure about the road. I have seen a few small trailers at Skwellepil. I don’t think you would have any issues, there is one rough spot as soon as you turn into campground only 50’ or so. Elbow is a bit close to civilization for my liking, but a beautiful lake. People do pull off to the side and camp there. Hopefully this helps! 🍻
For sure , my buddy drove his Honda Civic up there. He did hit bottom once, as long as you pick your lines right you’ll have no problems. I did get a flat tire on this trip, so make sure your prepared for those situations. Have fun out there! Cheers 🍻
Oh ya easy! But go soon because they plan on building an obstacle to make it harder to get back there. We are hopeful that it will keep the animals out of there. (The human kinda animals). We have been having issues with really dumb people back there. They have been shooting, burning outhouses and leaving trash everywhere for the good people to clean up. It’s an amazing place and it will really suck if these idiots ruin it for everyone! 🍻

Love that you guys enjoy camping and sharing the beautiful spot.
Some people are against sharing, it’s already a shit show up there on the weekends. What’s a few more, these places are for everyone to enjoy!
Thanks for sharing, looked like a great trip! I love going for a long ride through the wilderness on an old dirt road. Glad to see you had protection.
