I share your love for Apple. I've been a fan of the company... well, forever. Lots to love. My favorite thing to tell people when they whine how "expensive" their products are is that I've made more money off of Apple than they have made off of me.
Haha, now I want to know how much you hold. I just spent $4,000 on a new iMac. My current one is 5 years old and occasionally freezes. Makes it hard to edit videos for this channel. That computer is going to be worthy every penny once I start making videos on it.
@@JakeBroe Well, I have a few shares. But even then I can remember a time when I called my friend "crazy" for buying Apple in the day because it was "overvalued". Boy, do I wish I had shares from that time. But aside from the money, I've just always loved the company. The quality and style of Apple products is really unmatched, especially their computers. When people say "oh I can build a PC for half that". I just shake my head. Yea, maybe, with crap components from some no name company and a display that's not even close to as good as mine. My current iMac will be 7 years old later this year (and yea, I'll have to eventually replace it). But I've never had a PC last that long.

If you have your dividends reinvested, buying more shares, equals more dividend payout, plus compound interest is the key. That is why I invest in KO, T, and other dividend companies even though there has been no growth
Well... actually everything was doing so well that it was freaking me out. I tried to time the market and sold most of my stocks for a month in the summer. It didn't work and I regrouped and put everything in the ETF MGK. I held that ETF for the rest of the year and did pretty well. I made a video about it: th-cam.com/video/LScud3iLexU/w-d-xo.html
Hey Nael! I honestly still don't understand dividend only stocks. I get it, it's "passive income" but so are all stocks. VOO is an S&P 500 ETF that also pays dividends and it grows at the market average rate.
@@JakeBroe Hi Jake, apologies for the delayed response.. based on my limited knowledge, dividend only stocks is a buy and holding it forever kinda thing.. now, i am not sure with the VOO regarding how much dividend they have, but if they have dividends lower than exxon, then you are better off buying it now since their price is low if you want passive incomes that you do not want to reinvest.. some people retain a certain number of dividend only stock to give them a constant additional money every quarter to spend..
I like Visa. All those credit cards with grocery categories are just going to boom upwards. McDonald's is great too from a long-term investing standpoint.
If you look for dividend stocks, make sure and look at the dividend aristocrat list. These are companies that have paid out a dividend for 25+ straight years. It's a good reference sheet to look at. Now, I am not looking at long term. I can make a good amount of money short term in today's market.
Hey Rob, yep, I found that list and went through all of them. CTAS, MKC, MCD, ROST, SPGI, and SYY are all dividend aristocrats. But those are the only ones that are growth AND income stocks that have outperformed the market average.
Hey F Ramirez! I actually researched probably over 100 and I am currently invested in 30. These 10 are just my favorite ones that I am happy to recommend to other people. But if you check back later this week, I'll be making a video on my entire portfolio.
Jake Broe oh wow. I had initially invested in 30 and from those I kept 10. I found anything more than 10 gets overwhelming to stay on top of their data. I would keep missing key issues that would arise throughout the quarter.
Wow! Why would I buy stocks that are only down 25%, when I can buy stocks that are down 75%? I bought 10 stocks on Friday afternoon at $1000 each, and I am up $2000 in three business days. After I get another $15,000 into them, I'll let you know what they are. They have a long way to go to reach their normal trend. Even if two or three go bankrupt, I'll still come out ahead, unless the whole market goes down the tubes.
I can imagine someone scrolling through the video and not really watch it thinking "yeah yeah yeah just get to the stocks" then they see Amazon and Costco and think you're recommending them
@@JakeBroe I keep hearing that the government will would not let major U.S. airlines fail and would bail them out. However, I am worried that the government could choose to help them "after" they emerge any from bankruptcy making any shares I bought before any bankruptcy filing worth nothing or very little. However, I would be very tempted if American Airlines ever got down to the $5 per share range (doubtful), but just for an amount I could easily absorb a 100% loss.

Hey Carli, yes you can buy just 1 share of these stocks if you want to start investing today. In my video tomorrow I will show you my account page and most of the companies I have bought I only have a single share so far.
Hey Jake, man Amazon is still so expensive. I've been waiting for it to drop. Too much at this price. Exxon is certainly a pure dividend stock. You asked for a comment on Exxon and this is a company that I am worried about. They're the one oil company really putting alot into R&D and physical assets while most of the companies in their industries are contracting a bit because the external environment looks questionable at best.
Hey Rick, I don't see Amazon's price coming down much. People are buying it up just assuming Bezos is going to take over the world. Maybe someday when they offer a dividend I'll go for it, but I can't justify it at today's price.

I'm going to share my entire 30 stock portfolio coming up in a video this week, I do really like INTU and ADP. I am invested in both of those. The problem with SXT is it is a dividend stock with no long term growth. Their share price has been flat the last 5 years, which means the company is not trying to outperform the market average that I could achieve with a simple S&P 500 Index Fund. I am only investing in stocks that have outperformed the market average the last 5 years. There is no guarantee, but I like my odds.
Jake Broe I kept thinking through other well-known companies. If people are fearful of what’s in the air, could Honeywell HON see increased profits in their residential sector?

Jake Broe Thanks! After this video, I started doing some research. I signed up for WeBull earlier today then came across your video. I now have a good idea for a few stocks to purchase. Thanks!! Oh and thank you for your service! I’m an AF veteran myself. 😁
I do think that the overall Market will bounce back eventually!!! I think that Kohl's will do pretty well as their company was well run before they had to close. Maybe use those Amex points through your Schwab Platinum card for stocks if you have any you would like to use.
Hey PoV! I also looked and Kohls and considered it. I think the discount department stores will survive this and the encroachment of Amazon. People will never stop shopping for "discounted" clothes.
If I had to choose, I would probably go with ROST. CTAS is "business services" and 100% I'm not sure I know what that is or if companies in a recession can do with out their "services. However, a discount department stores will never go away because low-income people will never stop buying their clothes in person.
Hey Musketeer! Sounds like you are betting big going in on stocks belonging to companies that might go bankrupt. We'll know a lot more in the next couple months!
Jake, Thanks for the video. I'm a new follower of your videos and trying to learn more about investing. I'm reading "The Intelligent Investor" by Benjamin Graham which states that a good investor should invest in common stocks as well as bonds. Are you following this methodology? if yes, then which bonds are you looking to buy and how? Also, the 30 stock portfolio you are talking about in excluding your 401K and stuff?
Hey Akhil, in my private IRA and 401K I am only buying S&P 500 index funds. They contain no bonds and I won't be buying bonds until I am within 5 years or retiring. Once retired, I'll hold a corporate bond index fund. The reason why financial experts recommend holding some bonds is so in the event there is a downturn in the market (like right now), you have some assets to sell (the bonds) in order to keep paying your bills should you be out of money or lose your job. You don't want to sell stocks at a loss. I have good job security and I don't have any risk (no family, no mortgage, no businesses), so I personally see no reason to hold bonds. I will be 100% stocks in my private brokerage account.
Mutual funds are the better long term investment! I'm just using my extra fun money to play around with stocks. If I can't outperform the market average after a couple years, i'll get rid of them and go back to mutual funds.
@@JakeBroe Sounds like a good plan my dude. I'm envious of that. Stocks stress my out. Spend too much time checking them. My hourly wage for the gains is prolly less than a $1/hr. Mutual funds allow me to set it and forget it :)
I agree that these are great business but to me most of them are trading either at fair valeu or above fair value. I like my margin of safety. Thanks for sharing though
Hey Daniel! I think everything is over valued right. I'm still buying anyways because I do plan on holding long term. I won't pretend like I can time the market, and if the prices all fall again, I'm confident they will go back up in the next 3 years.
I don't understand how ROSS is doing as well as they are. I know they're going down, but they don't sale anything on their website besides gift cards. What kind of business that size does that? I hated working as ROSS, so I wouldn't invest in them. Also Ross owns DD's Discount which their website is the same if you didn't know already.
I think as large department stores like Sears, Boston Store, and Macy's continue to collapse and go out of business, discount department stores like ROSS and Kohl's will continue to stay alive. Poor people need a place to shop for clothes and especially for families with kids, they are going to want to try stuff on and see it rather than just order it on Amazon like the middle class does.
I'm not comfortable with AMZN either, but I trade options and its options are pricey. However, if you're buying stocks, (not options) I don't think you can value AMZN as you would a conventional company. Today AMZN closed at $2410. that's a 26% gain in the 14 trading days since this video went up. I'd bet on Bezos over Trump any day of the week. ;-)
Yeah, everyone stuck at home and ordering stuff to keep themselves occupied has probably been a boom for Amazon. Maybe I should have bough one share a month ago, lol
Hey Anthony, PINS does not pay a dividend and has performed poorly over the last 5 years. WYNN is a nice dividend stock, but it has not seen any growth the last 5 years. But as always, past result do not predict the future, these companies could perform well in the future.

I actually did a few videos on the TOP Oil Stocks, Airline Stocks and Auto Stocks that I'm lookin at 😎👍
Hey Musketeer! Sounds like you are betting big going in on stocks belonging to companies that might go bankrupt. We'll know a lot more in the next couple months!
@@JakeBroe Of course! This is the greatest opportunity of our lifetime 👍
What about Amex? 👀
Wow I bout a stock with MasterCard and Apple 🍎. Great video
Both great stocks! Cheers!
Nice info Jake👍🏾
Thanks so much Glenn!!!
Awesome thanks
You are welcome Myron! Cheers!
I don't buy individual stocks because I'm stoopies and can't pick stocks. I'm a mutual fund boi.
Lol. I buy the underdogs. Lol. Not getting rich but love seeing them kick ass. Dont laugh I let the kids pick random letters. Lol.
No MCD in iceland either! :P
Really? That surprises me.
Amazon is my number one NO stock. I think your picks are well mixed growth companies.
Thanks for the comment Iqbol! I'm going to make another video soon of my next 10 picks. Check back for it later and give me your thoughts!
What about sphd?
That looks like a high dividend yield ETF. Looks comparable to the others in its class if that is what you want to focus on.
If I have around 50k to invest how many stocks should I buy of each of these?
*shares of stocks
That's a lot of money and that is a decision you need to make for yourself. Good luck!
Video starts @ 6:05
yep!
@@JakeBroe I wrote down those stock..thanks I appreciate the video and the response..I am subscribe!!
Look at MTUM always beats the others
what is MTUM?
Andrei Jikh has left the chat.
Haha... I don't get it
@@JakeBroe Great TH-cam channel. Dubbed the Graham Stephan of Las Vegas.
Ah! the dividend guy... yeah he won't like my thoughts on dividend stocks
Great video! My daughter is loving the Alice in Wonderland flag behind you. 👍
Thanks so much Mr. DI. It might be my favorite flag as well.
It’s funny to watch it now Amazon over 3300 hundred per share
Yep! Amazon had a good year.
I wish I had bought Amazon at 1900.
Yep... if only we could see 5 years in the future, lol

Looooook at Down 30%
It keeps going back up... lol. I shouldn't really be doing that, so we will see.
We have a lots of the same companys lol check out Wynn
And pins was recommended by the fools
Hey Anthony, PINS does not pay a dividend and has performed poorly over the last 5 years. WYNN is a nice dividend stock, but it has not seen any growth the last 5 years. But as always, past result do not predict the future, these companies could perform well in the future.
@@JakeBroe hope you beat the market !!
@@xB1GKILLERX , today was a green day and my portfolio was up 10.75%. The S&P 500 was up 7.03%.
Im currently 23% ik people say dont time the market but patient pays off :)
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Brian!
I love how people say “sale” yet have no idea ho to do a intrinsic value to find out if that company is over overvalued don’t buy these stocks 😑
Sounds like you know more than me! Good luck out there!
Nice picks! 👍🏾
Thanks Roderick!
