It sucks that those kinds of channels are kinda discouraged now, as more and more channels have set the standard of doing it for a living and being more about the views, being optimized for the algorithm and the business side of things. Channels like this one are a breath of fresh air compared to those.

Here's a long comment for ya. I found your channel on the RCT subreddit from that "fastest coaster in the world" video 3 or 4 years ago, I can't really remember. I really enjoyed your content and I went back to watch your older content; ending up staying and subscribing because I found another creator like me. I just passed my 15-year mark on YT (and I too just turned 28 haha) and YT is just my creative outlet. I have been creating what I want whenever I can. I've been completely demonetized my entire time on YT until one of the YT employees helped me get my channel re-enabled for monetization, now I just need to get to my 4000 watch hours but that's not important to what I want to say to you. While I can't make your live streams since I'm busy with raising my toddler, I can tell you I always watch your new videos whenever they go live. They are a treat and a half so much so that I usually share them with my wife and my friends. We all find your content great and I am glad you do what you wanna do. I have never been on board with keeping separate channels for separate types of content. Back on my original channel, I used to be known as the roblox guy and it got so annoying when I wanted to make different types of content. Most of my fans were not happy with it but some stuck around and the ones that stuck around are the ones who will alway stick around (unless you like, do something bad obviously). Basically, viewers will come and go over time as we all grow with our content. Over the past 15 years on YT, I went from roblox to gmod to Minecraft back to gmod and live action to now where I do a hybrid of all my content. Yeah, some videos might do better than others and it might stink when you work on a project for so long and it doesn't get the same number views as your lesser effort video. What's important is that you enjoyed making it and your audience will have more of a connection with the projects you put a bit more love into. For example, my two feature length films got about 400 and almost 200 views right now and I would love them to be up in the 6 digits with some of my popular videos but they seem to have more enthusiastic comments on them where my big videos are more random nonsense comments from non-subscribers. Basically, my jumbled mess self is trying to say is that your core audience will watch mostly everything you do especially if you show care and passion for it. I'm currently experimenting with the shorts and making "compilation" videos on my channel is it seems to be bringing a new audience in while driving up watch time which is great, but the most important thing is doing what you enjoy. You are one of the channels that I enjoy watching every time I see a new video and don't ever stop what you are doing. One of the bigger creators I met on my time on YT told me that everything is possible on this platform and no matter how weird your niche is because someone, somewhere will eventually watch your content. Just putting in the effort now will pay off later and seeing how much you've grown shows for itself. Use the shorts as a tool to grow and make your actual content what you want it to be because some of those new followers will get merged into your core audience and your core audience is the most important of them all, even if it's 5 people to 5000 people. Sorry for rambling so much but my main take away is that you are one of my favorite channels on the platform for staying true to the type of content you want to make. Though you may be small like me, the longtime viewership will appreciate it in the long run. So much so that they might make content like you and inspire new creators on the platform. Anyway, I also made a "parody" type video of your style of content that is scheduled for next Friday (9/15). Bruh, just keep doing what you're doing. At least you're actually creative, funny, various and different. There's gonna be a moment in time where the Guilty Gear videos that I try focus on from time to time, are gonna lose their trend if the game series itself come to a close. Even if they get some views, I will always enjoy making skits or shit posts that are outside of TH-cam's algorithm magnet and the Guilty Gear series (I'm just using myself as an example.) I get less views for trying something different. But no matter what, it's about what you enjoy doing and producing whatever is genuinely passion from your heart and mind. Profitable, requent, creative. Pick two. That's the unfortunate reality of content creation. You'll note that success isn't a trait you can pick. The trick there is to define your own success that is within your means to control. A goal like "I want everyone to like me" is not within your power to control, but "I want to write a piece expressing my love for a certain subject" is. Those are the better goals. This is not professional advice though, so pls no sue.
i hope you see now that your fans/viewers appreciate your content and your weirdness. sometimes it needs a video like this.. and now you see, in the response, that everyone is positive and loves your stuff. i don't see one negative comment. quality above quantity ;D
I watched all of it, get rekt nerd On another note, do what you really enjoy, the algorythm can go away and never come back, it practically forces people into creative burnout. Do what you love, so you can look back in the future on everything you did and be proud, instead of hollow. Know a few guys who made what the algorytm wanted, and they ended up hating themselves. You just do funny stuff you enjoy, and dont worry too much about the numbers. Doing things for number to go up isnt all that fun when the numbers stop going up.
