Thanks for your honest review. I'll have to reconsider going to hdzero due to all the parts failing. Seen this from various posts on Facebook too. Those posts get deleted soon after they are discovered, so it's obvious something suspicious is going on behind the scenes.
We appreciate your honest review. I don't trust other reviewers out there. They sugar coat anything bad and spend most of the time talking about the positives. Your straight forward reviews deserve a lot more views and attention. People complain about wanting more honest reviews but they are all talk and never actually support the good channels.
Oof. Hopefully there isn't too high of a failure rate on these boards, but a shame it didn't last. The weight still needs to come down quite a bit for a good 65mm flight experience. These are similar to AHD(analog HD) security camera systems.
HDZERO still looks this bad even after all these years? Too bad the VTX died so soon. It's good to finally see an honest and transparent review. Sad to see the other channels getting paid off to praise this system when its clearly not reliable.
It's probably just this vtx/whoop. I beat the shit out of my HDZERO race V2 vtx on my race quad and the Mobula8 HDzero is also still alive. Actually haven't heard much bad things about those vtx's so this one in the whoop is just weak AF. Glad we still got honest reviewers like Albert.
@@xavierprimeto1752 my Walksnail V1 vtx's all died. From a crash. From just sitting in a drone on the shelf. Walksnail V2 vtx's have not. Walksnail v1 goggles are fine. HDzero have not died, goggles is great. Weird how that works. Not a fan of DJI, but 03 is awesome, no doubt. This hobby is full of hit or miss still.
As usual, very informative video. My experience with HDZero, is you have to go the extra mile to protect the vtx. That canopy is great for the analog whoop, I personally wouldn't use it for an HDZero setup. More protective canopy = more weight 🙃 HDZero in an 85mm 2s whoop with a more protective canopy is a blast to fly. Hopefully the ECO version holds up as well as my whoop lite vtx. No mipi cable and connectors to worry about is a plus. 👍 Happy flying everyone. 😎
I agree on the HDZero failure rate (I recently got out and went back to analog), but I've never been blocked or anything like that when I post on their discord of FB. That's not been my experience.
Nice, I'm one of the lucky ones. Absolutely smashed into everything putting it through its paces and it's still going. So much better than the whoop lite boards that I would pop off the ufl just by looking at it.
ye tbh these woops are fucking amazing (can do pretty much any 5" freestyle trick; insanely durable) but thats because they are super light. Even half a gram makes a different and 5-6g more is just waay too much. And then what do you get? significantly higher price aswell? Barely better quality? Imo hdzero only really shines with the nano90 cam in bigger quads.
Only if it was as good as the analog version. To bad the VTX is so fragile and died, the video does have a lot of breakup even at such close range. I think analog might be the better way to go, for better flight and also the video quality. Great honest review Albert!!!
You're on Raceband 1. You're getting interference from wifi. Go up to raceband 8 and all the static will go away. I get better range and miles better video quality than analog on hdzero. The breakup can be hard to see through at first but the longer you fly it, the more you prefer it over analog. Hdzero has a perfect image under the breakup but analogs picture warps and loses color. They both have their place, I always liked analog so hdzero is a perfect fit for me. I can get why some might not like it though.
Great review. I enjoyed the detailed review as well as the first impressions regarding the weight, performance, flight characteristics, and reliability of this whoop.

Surprising that this new version is only 0.5g lighter than the first version. Thanks for the honest review.

thanx for the heads up buddy.

I bought into hdzero but ALL my hdzero gear is now dead. It's a total waste of money.

I've had 4 VTX die on me and I decided to move on to O3 instead of throwing away more money down the toilet.

I’m really on the fence. I have been looking at both walksnail and Hdzero for my whoop.

Aren't you worried about posting a negative review on hdzero? Those fanbois are notorious for trying to shut down all negative channels.
Is that what FPV has come to? Blackmail and intimidation to get people to buy into bad products?

I've had several of my posts deleted in various groups and I only ask questions about what went wrong. Instead of offering help, they deleted my post!
Always good to hear how they are holding up. Thanks!
or rather NOT holding up!
Great price

Looks like a pretty good lightweight quad for beginners 🎉
As much as I'm all for digital, I just don't see a point for it on tinywhoops. 6g difference is insane!! I'll stick with the lower weight personally

I think the camera is analog, but the transmission is digital. Not much lighter than the old version, but it is cheaper. Great review.

Excellent flight and review, Albert! 😃
Too bad about the VTX failure... But yeah, it's a bit too heavy!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
The future of FPV is not hdzero but the new Avata 2. You guys should stop supporting hdzero and support DJI.
I'll support the systems that don't die when you breath on them funny. In my case, I won't be supporting hdzero. It's just a waste of money!
Time for HD zero
