My father has cancer...we fought it for 2 years defeated it and it came back...thanks to Obama care my dad is still alive and we don't pay alot...
My Father had stage 3 colon cancer 3 years ago. He fought it for 8 months, Initially had to pay $225,000 in medical bills. He only needed to pay about $20,000 because of his great insurance and job benefits. By giving the government complete control of our health insurance, he would’ve had to pay possibly $50,000-$125,000
@@connerfondo2020 i guess we are all different...am sorry you're paying all that but he does qualify for subsidized government insurance which is way cheaper, and i don't believe your father is working while sick....unless you live in red states with no medicaid when he lost his job....my dad lost his insurance after being hospitalized for a year...but he got into governor insurance which we pay nothing for his bills now...don't be ashamed to take government insurance...if you need help you need help..don't be shy to ask for it.

I retired 16 years ago leaving America so I saved over $100k in insurance premiums. My current insurance with no deductible costs US$120.00 a month. In 2020 I had a 5-day hospital stay and got no bills but had I been in the US on Ocare that stay would have cost $22,000 between the premium and yearly deductible.
USA has, from a European point of view, a structural problem. Your way of freedom, hinders you from doing necessary stuff. When you break your leg in Germany, and you're a construction worker, you will get paid 100% of your salary. For 6 weeks your Employer has to pay it and then the Insurance kicks in. You have basically unlimited sick leave days and 24-30 vacation days.

You had the employer mandates for companies with over 50 employees made mom and pop companies to cut back in staff to get under the 50. Then when the Individual mandate kicked in people HAD TO sign up for and pay into healthcare that was not wanted or needed. The major issue was men paid for breast exams and women paid for prostate exams. The ONLY ones who actually WON in all of this ACA concept was and still is the INCREASE of profit for the healthcare companies. Government solved nothing, government made healthcare far from being affordable....explain how CONGRESS still has the best available healthcare paid and bought for by the taxpayers and still rides the gravy train?
I have been on ACA for 4 years now and it is the cheapest health insurance I have ever been on. And it’s been as efficient as any other private insurance I had previously. I know many people feel the same way
