Trans Euro Trail Sweden - Full Adventure!

Long version for those who like longer videos! We had ridden Trans Euro Trail Sweden all the way from the north down to Lycksele back in 2021. Finally in May 2023 we had the chance to continue the adventure! We took the ferry from Vaasa to Umeå and headed for Lycksele to continue the trail southwards. The spring was already very far in Finland, but to our surprise there was no signs of that once we reached Sweden. No leaves in the trees, forests covered in snow and lakes still frozen! But that made the experience probably even better! Roads were super soft, snow in many places - made some places a challenge! In summer conditions the whole trail would have been a walk in a park :) Finally once we reached Charlottenburg, we started to see the signs of spring again! In the end we rode down to Värnamo, from where we had to turn back to Stockholm and the ferry to Finland. What an awesome adventure, many thanks to the Linesman!

What time of year did you do this trip? We are thinking of doing section 1-2 in late April

We did this mid-May last year. I would think that the southern parts are clear of snow by late April. Have a good trip! 👍
