    I'm odded out by myself... I really don't like spiders, and they do kind of freak me out. Yet I've been binge-watching your videos for weeks now - and I LOVE it. I find most of your tarantulas somewhat lovely and - dare I say - beautiful? It actually helped me with my fear of spiders. You sir are a wonderful person. Thank you so much 💓

      Aleksandra König his videos help many people but also a mind frame helps as well. Knowing how arachnids keep pest populations down is quite calming. Videos help more but that little bit of knowledge helps too. 😊

      I find there to be a mass difference between tarantulas and small spiders. I know that spiders are useful and beneficial but I have a decent amount of fear of them but Ts do not bother me. They seem less like a creepy crawly and more mammalistic I think. Or perhaps it is because they are less likely to surprise me lol

    It was kinda cute when he finished molting and it looked like he was playing with his legs and feets because usually they look really sturdy but right after the molt they look like freshly cooked noodles and he was just noodling his legs around :)

    I know you saying to leave them alone is for their own good because a lot of people are over zealous but, I have to say I appreciate you showing this in case something happens where this might become a necessity. Like it getting stuck on something where it could tear or injure in whatever way their abdomen. It is after all still your pet and you must make sure they are safe.
    Also, after you pulled the bit out from under him they way he moved looked like he was tucking himself into bed and it was so adorable.

    I've never really liked anything that's creepy and crawly, I actually tried to get over my fear of spiders by watching your videos, and I actually figured out that spiders are just like any other pet, they have attack patterns and defense patterns and are just as dangerous as a cat or large dog, well at least most species...

    My pink toe just had a sh*tty molt today. I was so scared for him because of the way his body was contortioned at times, I really thought he was having a stroke. The way it looked like he molted standing up. I wanna thank you petko for having this channel and caring for ur tarantulas the way you do. I have had "June bug" going on 9 months and this is his 4th molt, but because of this channel I have learned so much and feel as if I was prepared for this before I even knew what was happening. He fell from his perch, luckily it wasn't that high, then had a hell of a time getting back up, almost like he couldn't use his back legs or something. I know the next step is in a couple days I'm gonna see if he can still eat, then I'll know. He didn't have allot of color before except his pink toes but now he is like a jet black color. We just moved into a new place and I knew it was hot downstairs but didn't realize exactly how hot until now. I now know that even though they dont always drink from a water bowl, they do need sprayed and hydrated, atleast there cage, every couple day. THANK YOU PETKO FOR BEING WHO YOU ARE

They are so fascinating I love them! Hopefully in the future I get my own T.

      beautiful?hmmm, maybe not, but most definitely very fascinating! i find its coloration extremely beautiful tho and i feel bad that they are so vulnerable for such a long time during this period! I have a love/dislike relationship with spiders...some are just a straight up NO! but others i care for a lot! i find that they seem diff from other insects...some seem quite friendly and aware of you in a curious way, ie the jumping spider, easily my favorite!

    if you take a wet q-tip or damp cloth and gently wipe at that area that's stuck, the exoskeleton should soften enough for removal.

    • @caseyk6088
      @caseyk6088 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Darlene Penni sometimes. increased humidity levels assist in molting. it makes the exoskeleton soft enough to remove. usually, when it's too dry in the tarantulas environment, it causes the exoskeleton to dry faster....that's why tarantulas get stuck in their molt potentially leading to loss of limbs, death and other issues. that's why it's so important....no matter the species....to keep the environment as humid as possible during heavy premolt. with all the humidity, the exoskeleton won't dry out.

    • @caseyk6088
      @caseyk6088 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Darlene Penni edited my reply. I meant to say keep all species environments humid during heavy premolt. not to confuse you with keeping all species environments humid at all times.... corrected.
