Spidey got better at dealing with foes during the course of the series, going from not being able to take on "the big man", to ultimately being the one to defeat him in battle. I love the fact this Spidey didn't have an easy time dodging out the way of foes, it makes all his victories earned knowing all that experience didn't come out of nowhere.

He doesn’t really seem different to any other Spider-Man dodging/reacting to attacks. I think just watching all of them back to back made you think that he doesn’t react well

I wish Insomniac would incorporate rag doll physics sometimes when he gets hurt like in GTA 4 and 5.

The most damage he got from one villain was from ether Green Goblin or Venom as those are two of Spider-Man's biggest foes in this show. Carnage I think would've topped them if we got a season 3 as Carnage is just a entirely different kind of force of nature.
Just because he can sense the danger coming, he still has to ACTIVELY commit to dodging/evading. It ain't automatic, ya dinguses. Of course he'll get hurt

I always hated how they turned Peter into a ragdoll in this show. He was always getting thrown around and hurt by things that shouldn't even phase him. They took away his incredible reflexes and a bit of his intelligence. He had some of his villians backed into a corner numerous times and they kept getting out of the corner because Peter wouldn't even them up or knock them out. He could've easily defeated shocker when he was on the ground, but chose not to.
Eh, the only ridiculous bits were when Black Cat and the Enforcers before getting supersuits 'hurt' Spidey. Everyone else had varying degrees of superhuman strength or supernatural abilities. And even then, Spidey took no damage at all after being thrown, punched, and blasted across city blocks and through buildings by these guys so at least his durability is nothing to scoff at. Plus hs reflexes got plenty of time to shine, like when he dodged lightning, arrows, and bullets, he's just not entirely untouchable (like pretty much every other Spider-Man).
