@@ryanm2084 They are loud, and look nice... but there is no way they would sound good. 50 woofers? For 4000€, that would be less than 100€ for just each woofer alone, and on top of those there are the dacs, amps, power supplies, etc etc.
@@ryanm2084 The issue is that they do not sound as good as other speakers both with similar and lower prices. Also, buying quality speakers and servicing them wirelessly is absurd. If you're using wireless, and you really shouldn't, you can spend considerably less and you won't be able to tell the difference. There's an old saying about horsepower selling cars and torque winning races. Similarly, you could posit that bass sells speakers to the ignorant with less discerning tastes.

When I had a banger stereo in my car 20 years ago I had the spl level tested and I was hitting 130. That's pretty impressive for something you put in your house lol.

We use these systems for live performance all the time. The LD 900s are too expensive for most of us to take to a live gig (they're for Dentist wannabes), but you're correct with all your observations. The portable column array speaker beam forms the sound to allow it to carry to the back of a large space without blasting the ears of the people in the front, like traditional loud speakers. I don't know many musicians still using the old conventional systems with the power and portability of this genre of speaker.
