I had only watched this movie like 2 times, once in cinemas and one year later at TV. It never ocurred to me that the spider glitching was a plot point, I used to think it was a design take. I also think it's impossible to figure this out on your first time watching the movie.
The fact that the spider was from another earth never really surprised me. I think after seeing the other spider people I kinda just assumed the spider also came from somewhere else.

Brother there are people on this very video with time stamps older than across the spider verse saying it came from a different dimension. I said that to my friends beforehand. It literally glitched and this was the only universe with two spidermen. It definitely wasn’t unknown.

The foreshadowing with Spider-42 glitching and the fact that Miles threw a bagel at that guy, which was the person responsible for bringing the spider to Earth-1610 in the first place, who later on becomes a multiversal threat, is crazy. They planned this whole thing from the start!
thats what i like about it too. I used to think why this spider also glitches but now its clear and the way they expanded the narrative of the first movie now doesn't feel forced at all

It’s kinda scary cause you can see Miles Becoming closer with his uncle. He was supposed to be prowler
literally the spray can toss had shades of purple in the background to show that he was relating to aaron HEAVY. Same thing happened when he meet peter (the one in his universe) when there senses tingled miles had green and purple while peter was blue and red
He was not “supposed” to be anything else but Spider-Man. This is his movie.

I mean, the powers he has came from another dimension, so maybe the powers might eventually start glitching just like the other spider-heroes were when they were in his dimension.

Anyone that's ever been bit/stung by a bug of a sizeable existence, knows they HURT. So the fact the designers of this had him almost blase/meh about it, kinda... Ruined this moment, for me.
(FYI, I've been stung by yellowjackets, wasps and hornets, for way of sample examples. They ALL hurt. Nevermind the venom.)

is it possible that miles as a spiderman that was never supposed to exist? the spider was glitching due to it originating from another universe. so if a dose of spidering were to travel to him maybe thats why he isnt welcomed into the spider group in the trailer? because theres like a web that all spiderpeople gotta follow and it'd make sense if someone who got spideyed by something that wasnt supposed to exist that there'd be some problems.

Something I find interesting is that the ATSV hints that the spider from dimension 42 was zapped away before it bit miles of that dimension. And in that dimension Miles is in class being a good student. It is zapped to 1610 here where Miles is goofing off committing like petty vandalism with his uncle and he’a bit. That bite ended miles’ relationship with his uncle in 1610 and robbed this dimension of the prowler and robbed dimension 42 of its spiderman.
And the aftermath is miles 1610 becomes a great student and the new york's greatest spiderman (in his dimesion) and miles 42 becomes a bad dude stealing stuff

All this time, I mean we could've understood the glitching was just a side effect of the collider radiation/energies it was exposed to, but NO! The sequel wasn’t this planned in advance dude. This movie is amazing on its own and would have been just fine without a sequel. It’s just amazing that we got a sequel that references all these things in retrospect.
I love how Miles feels no pain from the bite like Peter did and just casually swats the spider away.

I feel like the twist in the 3rd film will be that this spider was always destined to bite miles and he was always meant to be spider man
When we see the flashback of spider 42 before it’s teleported to the other dimension it’s on a table crawling towards miles, it even avoids bitting uncle Aaron and goes to miles.
I think the idea is that the fates of the two Miles’ were swapped, Miles 42 was supposed to be the one and only Spider-Man of Earth 42 and our Miles was supposed to become The Prowler since he was spending a lot of time with his uncle. I do think you’re right though, the spider was destined to bite Miles, it’s just that which Miles changed when it got warped.
The universe deadass even gives him his own canon to follow and shit, it's not accident, but i do think it's dumb that "A police officer close to spider-man dies" would even apply to Miles since his dimension already had a Peter Parker who should already have gone through that, i think the problem is that Captain Stacy does seem to still be alive in Miles universe so it's probably just bad luck lol
