Sebenarnya untuk lagu ma boy ini dibuat untuk grup SISTAR sendiri yang akan dimasukan kedalam studio album pertama mereka yaitu SO COOL.
Cuman mungkin karena suatu hal pihak agensi berpikir kalau lagu ini dinyanyikan grup vibesnya terlalu kurang apalagi kalau diliris sebagai single. Tapi disisi lain lagi ini punya potensi makanya keputusan berani untuk lagu ini dijadikan single buat sub unit SISTAR.
Kalau lihat girls group generasi 2 SISTAR lah yg paling cepat membuat sub unit setelah mereka debut.
