- I shot this because there were no videos explaining the cause of the "reduced power" fault I was getting. I also showed the new header I bought that I'm going to install.
Had to replace mine too on a 09 colorado 2.7 crack had my car thumping and super loud so I took a look into it then ended up replacing it.
The Swap went well. I got the header/catalytic converter from Summit Racing. What I also discovered was there was air entering through the left side of the block because the last owner didn't tighten the bolts on this plastic air plenum.
Is this still working... I got the same issue. Can you add the link to the product, please? Thank You!
Yes. It still works. Found a link to the header but on a different site.

Good Luck to you!!
Get back here OP and update us!!!
I believe I have the same problem my issues are if I start the truck cold from over night sitting I can drive for about 15 minutes and when I come to a stop or am waiting at a red light the truck rpm idle starts to drop and get higher trucks wants to stall and it smells like fuel vapor. I do not know if you had these symptoms? I am not getting any codes I bought a fuel treatment as well no luck. Today I put a vacuum with air going into the muffler to find any leaks and sure enough under the manifold shield I can hear air seeping through
do you need that cat since the truck already has one?
No new cat was needed
Appreciate the vid! You end up having to tune the engine with the new manifold?
I didn't. But, I do think there would be a benefit to it because I'm currently tackling issues with secondary air injection. I've replaced the affected parts and confirmed they work, but the problem persist. Something to think about. 🤔
How is the oacesetter holding up ? Worked out the other bugs?
Got same problem 04 and 07 colorados
How is it?
How much did you purchase that manifold for? And where did you purchase it from? I want one for the same vehicle as yours.
how did the swap go?
Where did you say you got the replacement Manafold? These trucks have this problem and I have no idea why Chevy hasn’t done anything about it. I’m on my 3rd Manafold bought at 97k- currently at 194k miles on my 2010 Colorado.
I got it from summit racing.
