The tocus breathing bit killed me 😂
The focus breathing is kinda scary 😂, thanks for pointing that out
Wish they would have made a fast 28mm equivalent 😩
Focus wheezing is crazy 🤣
Mitakon ZhongYi 80mm - Buzz Lightyear Edition - "To Infinity and Beyond" 😬
Ordered it about 15 minutes ago. Curious to see how this 58 f/1.1 equivalent compares to the Zeiss 80 f/2.
I wish Mitakon would give us something like 45 f/2 or similar, hopefully more compact lens.
As a Mitakon 85mm AND 65mm user. Any obvious differences with IG and vignetting? My only issues currently, is the pronounced hexagonal bokeh @f2, 2.8 and 4.5 specifically. Curious about this lens.
Good point 65mm vs 80mm they are about the same just narrower with 80mm. I’ve used 65mm 1.4 and canon 85mm 1.2 but when I did boudoir and OF content I just felt it was exactly same just more wider with 65mm 1.4 which is better because with wider look you can crop in if need .
I think Mitakon should’ve make 80mm 1.2 or 1.4 to be very appealing. Or 60mm 0.95 to be the king of bokeh with similation of the look of aero ektar 178 2.5.
Or perhaps 35mm 1.4 . 44x33 sensor needs wide prime fast lenses !!
Mitakon 65/1.4 is very yellow in my comparison to adapted Pentax and Mamiya 645 lenses, as well as adapted Nikon F mount Nikon and Tamron lenses. My test was done at a fixed white balance. I am wondering if this 80/1.6 has the same issue.
Very interesting 80mm "newer" lens for sure..the only thing that kinda bugs most people about the 65mm is the long focus throw..lol if only they updated the 65mm as well like this 80mm..that would be cool..and why didn't they figure out a way for the lens hood to attach back on the lens like they did with the 65mm..lol
Benji also some others recent look into this 80mm..they mentioned that at 1.6 with doing like a full body environmental shots..that the 1.6 on the subjects "face" is softer than the 65mm 1.4..did you find this "issue" with your comparisons?..
Scared me for a moment. My 65mm came in this week and havnt even had the chance to mount it. However, after the points made on your video I am glad to keep this one.
Off topic but I have the same mic and boom arm setup. Assume yours drifts downward from the weight? I had to engineer the hell out of it to lock it in place. 🙄
I think they should have released a 105mm instead. Maybe F2. I LOVE my xcd 135mm it’s an amazing portrait lens and as an X1dii shooter it’s just not as usable for me anyways as it would be able to be used on a GFX System imo
Wish a Firmware allows the X1D II drop to 14bit. I’m using the TT Artisian 90 F1.25. Great lens. Metal lens cap. Definitely a keeper
A bit lacking
If I would buy an expensive 100 megapixels Camera, then I would als buy an expensive Lens that can perform and live fully up to those 100 megapixels, so not a Mitakon.
I get that, but like I said I’d get this as an auxiliary lens, not a primary. Sort of just depends on your budget/needs.
It’s not always about sharpness and sensor resolution. Sometimes you want a “look” or character.
@@Pentax67 No !
@@cameraprepper7938 As someone who has actually has a 102 megapickels camera, sometimes I want crazy resolution and sharpness, but not when I'm shooting portraits, it's not necessary for me, I'll take the character (crappier quality) over clinical. Home that makes sense 👌
