I cannot open the plastic housing. Already cracked part of it. Chamberlain cannot make it more simple? Mine has colored nubs. Need to slide the tabs, need to do one then the other, do at the the same time? You did one then the other. Thanks.

thanks. nice video. my genie garage door remote does not work. i changed battery. model is 20 years old , no programming on remote, just a clicker. the unit works when i push the button on the wall kindly comment
Thanks for watching & this can happen as the age of the remotes increase. You may need to check your unit on ceiling for a program button. It’s also possible that the internal electrical leads need to be gently cleaned with a q-tip that has a tiny amount of rubbing alcohol on it. Keep us posted. 😎👍🔧🔩

Thanks for watching & we recommend using the same wattage bulb. You may run into issues with a higher wattage bulb including them interfering with the frequency leading to sporadic behavior with the garage door remotes. Keep us posted on your project.
Yes - I have experienced it. LED bulbs will generate an electrical noise that interferes with the opener. Usually not when new but as the bulbs age. You should use bulbs with better shielding as available from Genie or GE.

I have a Craftsman garage door opener(installed less than a year) and I can’t figure out how to remove the cover. I don’t see a screw or buttons on the sides. Can you please help me figure it out? Thanks.
