I saw MULLHOLLAND DR when I was in Detroit at an art theater. I won a trivia quiz before the film started. Interestingly, in the theatrical version of MULLHOLLAND DR, it has the full nudity of Naomi Watts. When it came out on DVD and other home video formats at the time, Naomi Watts, and perhaps Laura Herring, too. Their full frontal nudity scene was darkened digitally by Lynch. Truthfully, I am not a fan of the film. But, that full nude scene has to be out there somewhere.
RIP David Lynch. One of the few directors who never sold out and was easily one of the most entertaining to watch in interviews alongside Friedkin. Hollywood doesn't seem to realize a lot of why those old franchises worked is because of the era they were made and what age the actors/characters were at the time they were made. Goonies works because of those kids and its in the 80s. Doing a sequel 40+ years later completely defeats the purpose because no one wants to see those characters' middle-aged and in modern times. The only time a sequel could've worked was in the late 80s/early 90s. The biggest problem with The Walking Dead was no clear vision as it kept changing showrunners every couple of seasons and the fact they just wanted to milk it to death and never planned on actually telling a story with a beginning, middle and end. The whole pitch was pretty much "The zombie movie that never ends" but after a while that gets old and stale especially how repetitive they got with the formula. If Frank Darabont never left it likely would've been a way better show.
Can we stop trying to project our own sense of superiority onto others? I always hear that no one wants a sequel, prequel or remake because I don't. Or because Marq doesn't. Or Rambo or UB or CK doesn't. Some people do. So, ignore the fact that there is going to be a Goonies movie coming out. I mean, sure, you have every right to your opinion, but don't let it get to you. Who cares? There is always going to be a movie that you are interested in seeing. Let people have their nostalgia and stop pretending that your thoughts are the only relevant ones on any given topic. Some really do want these movies. I don't think it matters all that much.
The single serve live mouse juicer in Dune always comes to mind when I think of Lynch.

Whats the story behind being sued over silent night deadly night?
Elephant Man may be my favorite film of his. It’s got the most raw emotional impact.
Good show. There will never be another David Lynch. Unique. Good call on Jodorowsky, too. That's another planet entirely.
I loved Rambo's Leslie Jones rant!!!
Only thing I can think of that is Lynchian in the current crop of movies UB mentioned: Robert Eggers The Lighthouse.

I thought a woman was Joan Severance once, but she didn’t have her BLACK SCORPION sexy outfit on that’s when I knew that it wasn’t her.
Peter Bogdanovich's Mask is better than David Lynch's The Elephant Man. Rocky Dennis is the best! 😂
😂
UB, did read my MULLHOLLAND DR. review about the two different versions of nudity.
