I made this and it was really moist and delicious. Thanks again for sharing this recipe with us. I did add rose water to the mix as my Mom used to when we made it. I also added cloves & cardamom as mixed spice when I stewed the fruit but took them out before blending.

Gladly, I do not have to forgo eating a Caribbean fruit cake any longer. In its original form. This adapted plant based version, will certainly suffice. And will be shared accordingly!

    • @AuthenticPlantbasedEats

Sis, sis, this is a game changer. I don't have to wait 40 days and 40 nights for fruit cake. As the others who tried said, so good.
I put in only one cup of applesauce cuz that's all I had and I added 1.5 cups of sugar instead of two. I made other modifications too and still delicious! Thank you! Happy Holidays to you and your family.

I love this channel so much!! I haven't even tried this recipe but I'm certain it will be great (like many of your other recipes). Your work has helped me reconnect with jamaican foods I haven't been able to eat since going vegan. Might even try a hand at my own channel :p
With the dried fruits, is there any reason in particular you don't add alcohol? Personal reasons or you prefer the flavour
    Love from England

Trust me it’s Work! Lol but doing it for the right reasons and knowing that you’re able to reach and help others is an amazing feeling.
I omit it mostly for religious reasons. The flavors are still on point though!
