I have a 93 Acura legend L was 29,200 miles on it. I only take it to local shows or parades to afraid to go too far and get it smashed up. Your car is a beauty. It is a show or museum piece. Be careful, congratulations
TYSON! Thank you so much for all the help, and coordination with this. You are a great friend. I cannot wait to see my brand new 1993 Acura Legend LS 6!
Seeing older cars be brought back to life makes me so happy! Turned 30 last year and was considering getting a new car but decided to buy a 98 stock Subaru Impreza wagon and I can’t wait to start giving it some restoration love it deserves. Cheers mate 🤙🏼
When I seen this car just now I tought of the early 90s Prelude and how much my older sister wanted one. She was in highschool at the time and my mother laughed.
For a few weeks in 1997 I worked at an Acura dealer. Looking back it’s hard to believe the lineup of cars I was around: NSX, Integra GSR & Type R, and these Legend coupes. Even the new-at-the-time RL was quite impressive. I lusted after a customer 6spd Legend coupe in the exact spec shown in this video (we also had a Gold over tan one come through). It makes me so happy that one got restored to this level. An absolute gem of a car.
This car looks like it was pulled straight into a time machine and brought here. I love how once you started up the car, it has that "BOOOP" sound from the old car phone powering on.
As a longtime and loyal Honda and Acura family its heartwarming to see the past of Acura and their products where they truly made ergonomic, high quality beautiful designs that were intentionally conservative to endure the test of time. Always loved the Acura Legend that was by far the best generation engineering and design wise and really hope to own a restored Legend sometime soon. Somewhere along the decades after is when Acuras designers and engineers got lost their heritage focus in the fight against Lexus and Infiniti when they should have stayed playing their own game of Precision Crafted Performance.
Wow haven’t seen one of those in the northeast in like 10 years, what a beautiful car for its age! What amazes me is the mileage 118k is crazy. I drive a 2015 TLX that just reached 80k so for comparison they are equally almost same mileage but years apart. Thanks for uploading Tyson love watching these old Acura videos
My favorite car of all time. My sister bought a 95 brand new. It was the real pretty green color with camel colored leather interior. I’d give anything to have that car now. This car is insanely clean. Wow!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
In 2001, I bought a 1990 Legend that was very well cared for. It was the quietest, smoothest cruiser I've owned. I loved it. Wherever I drove, people would ask how old the car was. They knew it wasn't brand new because of the shape, but to hear it was over 10 years old would blow the away. I had to let it go for one of the two mechanical issues that I couldn't resolve: an occasionally hard 1-2 shift (that I was fine with), and an oil leak from one of the cam shafts (I think) that no garage I took it to could solve without my spending an unreasonable amount of 💰. It was apparently a common problem as another Legend that I owned briefly and others I had looked at had the same issue. It's too bad - I'd have found a way to keep alive to today...
As an older guy, Honda/Acura were better back then they are now. The Legend (coupe and sedan), NSX, Vigor, Integra, Prelude, CRX, Accord, Del Sol, Civic SI, and others were brilliant designs.
i own a few cars..new lexus, mercedes, bmw..lexus with massage seats...these are my favorite cars..the interior is so classy and car defines a generation. the tl, cl, legend from this era up to 03
That 93 is in GORGEOUS condition! Just… wow. Talk about a very careful, conscientious owner. I hope that car gives home decades of enjoyment. You know, for as much as I think about Hondas and Acuras, I always learn something during your videos. What did I learn today? I could have sworn the Legend’s ignition was on the steering column, like every other Honda product from the time. For as many of your Legend videos as I’ve watched, I never realized the ignition is on the dashboard. 🤷🏻♂️
wow some great shots in the video. beautiful sunset. car and its paintjob look amazing. smooth as glass. helps to see how good it is on black. ive always preferred these with no wing or a just a lip spoiler. what a beaut. also, telescopic wheel but no tilt?! first for me. hell even my 94 integra has tilt. no tele tho. man the more i look at this particular car the more im in love with these legend coupes. gotta be black interior for me though. the taupe just doesnt age as well.
Ahh good old north mountain, where I picture all my cars. Also right down the road is a 1993 or 1994 30,000 mile coupe, manual Legend that was involved in an accident. Sitting at my buddies front yard.
This was absolutely the car to have in the 90's. Even the first generation Acura Legend Coupe was a stunner. The second generation coupe was the benchmark, as it still looks good by modern day standards.. Too bad Acura didn't think it was good enough to continue the model. Acura sold 38,866 Legend Coupes in 1993, which was over 3,200 units a month.
I'm not the biggest fan of black but it sure looks good on that Legend Coupe. It literally looks like you stepped in time to 1993 and you're seeing it new. It's that good.
Tyson, not sure if you are aware or not, but you made it onto CNBC !!! (Your acura commercial circa 40sec mark) th-cam.com/video/Lp9VqJ79QcQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IRccFqk4OA7Cz9Vw
@nissanhonda25 I mean all cars from Acura to Toyota to all brands early 90s cars just looked better, by mid 2000 all brands look the same shitty angular, no smooth round lines. Remove badges hard to tell one brand from another. Copy cat designers and bad ones at that
Andrew, don't drive this beautiful car home without protection. Exposing that pristine paint job to more than 2000 miles of rock peppering abuse is just wrong and wasteful. At the very least u should consider applying clear film to the front end and mirrors. Trust me u will come to regret it and kick yourself everything your look at all that paint chip damage!
I have a 93 Acura legend L was 29,200 miles on it. I only take it to local shows or parades to afraid to go too far and get it smashed up. Your car is a beauty. It is a show or museum piece. Be careful, congratulations
Chris, your car is one of the best of the best!
TYSON! Thank you so much for all the help, and coordination with this. You are a great friend. I cannot wait to see my brand new 1993 Acura Legend LS 6!
You are welcome! I'm excited for you!

Japanese cars from the 90s are where it's at!
This is such a beautiful car. The two door design with those lines was one of the best Japanese cars of the 90s.
It has aged well for sure
Gorgeous car. This, the Integra, and the Prelude... Even the Civic, CRX and Accord... Late 80s, early 90s, had fantastic lines...
Golden era Hondas. Helped out by Pininfarina.
Prelude's are something else maaaan ❤
the vigor too!
When I seen this car just now I tought of the early 90s Prelude and how much my older sister wanted one. She was in highschool at the time and my mother laughed.
It really was a great era for car design!

@@charged well said, that was a great era!
This car looks like it was pulled straight into a time machine and brought here. I love how once you started up the car, it has that "BOOOP" sound from the old car phone powering on.
Exactly! Forgot to mention that phone sound, haha.
Great car and thanks for this video! I had a ‘93 Acura Vigor 5sp. One of my most favorite cars! I hope you’re able to come across one in the future.
I had a green '94 Vigor back in 2015-2020. Def would love another!

Awesome, yes 118k is low miles for a 32 year old car for sure!
This was one of the best looking vehicles to come out at its time. Its style has weathered time and it still looks good today.
Agreed
What a beauty. That paint work is very impressive!
Agreed, thanks Chris!
Where was it painted?
1993 is right near the high point for Honda/Acura, when the NSX was landing. Once they gave up on Legend name....
Valid point
Made in Japan. What a beauty! Looks better and has more class than any new Acura being sold today.
High quality stuff for sure
What a beauty. Congratulations to Andrew. I think I might be familiar with some of those photo shot venues 👏🏻
I think you might be right!
My favorite car of all time. My sister bought a 95 brand new. It was the real pretty green color with camel colored leather interior. I’d give anything to have that car now. This car is insanely clean. Wow!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
That's awesome, I wonder where your sister's car ended up
@@TysonHugie I have no idea but I’d love to know if it’s still around.
This brings back a lot of childhood memories of an early 90s Legend sedan in the family.
I never saw legend coupes back in the day from this generation only the 1st gen especially since my godfather had one 89 baby here
Same here, we had a 93 sedan back in 1997

Perfect place/area to showcase that beauty! NOICE.
Thank you!
It feels weird to have "old" Acuras nowadays. Beautiful ride , man.
I know that you mean
As an older guy, Honda/Acura were better back then they are now. The Legend (coupe and sedan), NSX, Vigor, Integra, Prelude, CRX, Accord, Del Sol, Civic SI, and others were brilliant designs.
Agreed!
Stunning car! Loved these back in the day. Thanks for sharing!
You bet!
Always such an incredible wealth of knowledge you are-- hope you're off to an inspirational new year, sir!
You too, cheers to an inspiring year Keith!
thanks for this...i could cry and go on forever about this car and hondas from this generation...looking to get a 2003 cl6
i own a few cars..new lexus, mercedes, bmw..lexus with massage seats...these are my favorite cars..the interior is so classy and car defines a generation. the tl, cl, legend from this era up to 03

The black int is definitely the most desirable on these cars
gorgeous car! i always kept my eye out for a 6 speed but people knew what they had
Agreed
Gorgeous then. Even more beautiful now.
Definitely
The legend has the best front end design period
Def looks good even today
Ahh good old north mountain, where I picture all my cars. Also right down the road is a 1993 or 1994 30,000 mile coupe, manual Legend that was involved in an accident. Sitting at my buddies front yard.
I would love to take a look at that coupe!
Testing out the sound system would have been cool.
I couldn't find the radio anti-theft code to turn it on (required after battery is disconnected)
Gawd that car is gorgeous.
Definitely well kept
Friend of mine had one of these in college back in 2001… so smooth and classy!!
They are def smooth
I sold these when they were new and the soft close door feature is something I either forgot they had or didn't know.
@@youtoobe169 definitely a unique feature
So sharp looking. I wish Acura would bring this model back.
Definitely! Thanks Dan
The chrome trim around the windows is perfection. Also, that shot of the ducks was great!
Haha yes I decided to get artsy
Great overview Tyson!
Thanks Courtney!

Number 1 Stunner👀. That Legend would break some necks for starring 👍
Agreed
When Acuras were desirable. The legend is a legend
Definitely got the right name
What a beautiful car! Wish my old B12 looked like that!
Well-kept for sure!
Very clean Legend, I had an '92 Vigor (little brother) years ago, the front looks a bit similar to the Legend except it was not as wide.
Love the Vigor
Legends are my favorite Acura they need to bring these back accord hatchbacks from the 80s and preludes are my favorite Hondas
honda will sell you a civic and rebadge it acura legend
Great era for sure
Great looking car
Thanks! I agree
So nice wow pinnacle of a 93 coupe right there, much love!
Acura really needs to bring back the Legend!
That would be cool
The leather used in pre-millenium Acuras seem to be higher quality compared to the ones made after.
I agree with this! It wasn't perforated, for one thing.
Yep!
Honda is always a great car, nice work!
Thanks!
Love Granada black pearl, the gold flake pops in the sunlight.
Definitely, I forgot to mention that!
My 93 6 speed looked just like this but with 15inch wheels. Miss that thing
They are great cars
Can't wait to see this beauty at NALM. 😃 *hint hint*
-- Matt from Texas
Me too!
Sweet! It's like the day it was purchased.
I know, it's pristine!
Always liked the older Acuras, don’t care for the new ones.
What a beautiful car
It's a beauty for sure
I always liked that car
Same here
I remember reading that issue of Automobile Mag
It's a good one!
Beautiful. I'd love to be first in line if it's ever for sale!
I'll have to pass along the word!
I love that coupe!
It's a beauty
Save the manuals!
Yes!
10000000 x better looking than today's Honda BS cars
Haha I'm biased but that's prob true!
Great car.
Agreed
6SPD Manual I didn't know that was on the LS trim
Definitely. For sedans it was GS, for coupes it was LS.
Very nice 👌
Thank you!
beautiful!!!!
I agree!
maybe I need to drive my Civic down to Apex for the full respray. It is the last thing to do on the restoration.
It’s always worth it for a full respray!
I owned one of these in the late 90s. It was a fantastic car until it was wrecked….
Sorry to hear about that!
How much would this sell for on bat or cars and bids.
Hmm, I'm not sure!
Need some BBS
That would look pretty cool
Beautiful lady!!
Not me calling apex.. “yall want to build a 2000s show car with all the body mods?” Just cause I need a nice painter
Hit them up
There is a mint sedan that i just saw on offer up. Owner wanted 5500
Ohh very nice!
O had a 93 Prelude
Awesome! They are great cars
Ludacris comes to mind

I'm sure he will take this into consideration!
The plan was to either borrow somebody’s bra for it or wrap the front end and painters, tape and drive very cautious😊
Put 3m on it problem solved the fact there isnt 3m on it now makes zero sense.
Now we know what a v6 5g lude is
Haha yes
