" Do you ever get overwhelmed? " yeah...that kind of comes with being a kpop fan lol
For both Bangchan and Felix, their families are still in Australia. They got accepted into JYP during global auditions (Chan in 2011 and Felix in 2017), became trainees and lived in dorms with other trainees (Chan since he was 13-14 and trained for 7 years before debut, Felix when he was 16 and trained for a year before debut. Since debut they have been back to Australia only once in 2019, which is really sad. If you think about it Bangchan has lived away from his family for almost half of his life, which is why he considers his members as family. He chose them for a reason and you can see how close they are. I am just happy they all have each other and that they still live together.
😭
And they're back in Austalia🥳🥳
@@nottobe5597 Yeah, I was so happy. They woke me up with those messages and then I watched the livestreams at 4 in the morning before going to work. But it made me smile for the whole day. xD
@@MalickaNeya Luckyyy! I woke up 10 mins after the livestream ended🥲 Still made my day thoxD
this guide doesn't really mention it but there used to be 9 members, woojin left in 2019 for personal reasons and works as a soloist. their "best of" albums are actually albums where they re-recorded their songs as 8. it's disrespectful I think to directly associate woojin and the group but its something you might want to know if you watch their older content and see someone "unfamiliar" ;)
Ah thank you for the additional information! Appreciate it 🙂
just a helpful hint about subtitles in general: when it says english (auto-generated), the subtitles are NOT accurate! it means that a robot is trying to translate the sound assuming it is english, but since they’re speaking korean, it won’t pick up on anything. so if the only subtitle option is english (auto generated) and not english, just assume there’s no subtitles!
JND, I listed the songs you said you liked here:
Hate to admit - Bangchan
The View - SKZ
Here Always - Seungmin
Happy - Han
Mixtape: Oh - SKZ
Scars (Japanese Track) SKZ
Sorry, I Love You - SKZ
Placebo - SKZ
Gone Away - I.N, Han, Seungmin
24 to 25 - SKZ
Thank you for listing them! I’ll be sure to take a look at them 🙂
I also really love the chill vibe songs. I recommend Blueprint, The View, Astronaut and Scars. They are some of my personal favourites. Of course Bangchan's I hate to admit, as well.
There was also this moment you got really excited about Lonely St, and also Happy by Han. Closer by Han also has that vibe. Really nice songs with an RnB vibe I'd say.
The "Best Of" albums are not just compilation albums, but they re-recorded and arranged some lyrics of the songs since they used to be 9 members and now they are 8. If you want to react to some of the old songs, I recommend that you listen to the versions of the Best Of 2020/2021.
Thank you so much for taking the time to react to this long guide. I loved it and look forward to watching your k-pop journey especially with stray kids.
At the beginning of each members segment they member says his hello and his name so you can get the correct pronunciation. There are a few things this guide is missing it is so hard to get everything in a skz guide because Stray Kids love to spoil their fans with so much content besides m/v.
Each member joined JYP in different ways. The Korean entertainment recruits people all over the world by doing auditions all over the world. Hyunjin was approached by a JYP recruiter the street for his visuals and why he is stray kids visuals. Hyunjin had no training till he joined JYP and trained and why he had to work hard. Felix left his family and home at the age of 17 years old after being picked from a audition in Australia. Seungmin was recruited after wining 2nd place in a JYP singing competition. Han had a friend who talked Han into going with him to do an JYP audition in Korea. His friend didn't make it but Han did. At the time Han had already been through a lot of auditions and didn't want to go but his friend pushed him and aren't we very thankful for it. The show that I.N was on in the end surprised all the judges because at the time I.N was one of the youngest contested in his middle teens. they also didn't mention that stray Kids were the first group to do movie trailers before their album releases (comeback) from the beginning of their debut. These movie trailers last 2-4 min and explain the concept of the album.. And they are the first to do more music videos for their b side tracks as well. In No Easy full album they have 13 songs and 10 of this songs have a video or music video, for their latest release Oddinary mini album has 7 tracks with 4 m/v. They also have songs just on their channel that are not listed on any albums like the latest Time Out and so many more.
Zach sang interview reaction would be great because they talked about song production, and also about how Felix got into kpop.
Btw be careful reacting to kingdom performances bc they are strict with copyright.
Since the creation of this guide, 5 new songs were dropped by SKZ (plus cover and special japanese releases to previous songs) all while being on the tour lol.
They dropped new mini album called Circus (songs Circus + Fairytale + You Eyes). Hyunjin just dropped his new solo song ice.cream. And 1st of August they dropped Time Out, which is anniversary present for their fandom, STAY.
Han Jisung (one of 3racha members, the composing team) said he wrote over 10 songs alone when we was in America for their tour (which was 1 month lol)
Both Chan and Felix got into JYPE by attending an audition in Australia. Chan was 13 and was the sole person accepted out of about 800 applicants; he then moved to Korea on his own at age 13 (he spoke enough Korean to be ok and to improve, since he grew up speaking Konglish at home) and has essentially lived in JYPE ever since (he's now 24 and recently passed the 11th anniversary of his move). Felix was accepted at age 16 (he's now 21) and moved to Korea on his own at that age, following the same path as Chan, with the added stumbling block that 1) his parents were not happy about it, and 2) he spoke almost no Korean. He's now been there for 5.5 years and worked his ass off to not just learn Korean but become fluent in it in that time.
Take your time learning them. The amount of information and content, especially when you're new, is overwhelming. No one reasonable will expect you to be correctly identify each of them right away (anyone who gives you sh1t is being an ass and deserves to be blocked). Go at your own pace. So long as you're enjoying yourself, we'll enjoy watching your journey.
And I can't emphasize this enough: STAY will watch almost any SKZ reaction. And they put out content basically every 2-3 days, max, so the influx is never-ending. It would be virtually impossible to run out of SKZ content to react to, so you're pretty much set forever if you decide to dive deep.
I love how you are so thoughtful in choosing your words. And also thank you for reacting to skz for really wanting to get to know them. I did have a great time watching this.
If you are into softer songs, i guess their skz-record and bsides would be for you as their title tracks are more aggressive side.😂
i would like to recommend-
: i hate to admit by bangchan
: Streetlight by changbin
: Alien by han
: Happy by han
: Here always by seungmin
( Lee mujin service seungmin episode is also heavily recommended)
: Another day by skz
: Silent cry by skz
: Secret secret by skz
One of the biggest reasons why i became a stay ( a year ago) is because of their lyrics. They always write their own lyrics and i feel like they are connecting their fans with their music. They make me feel seen, or feel understood.
Their music make me feel like..they are not just kpop idols, they are humans who feel and hurt and struggle.
Have a great time exploring skz !! ❣️
I think you'll like b-sides and non-title track songs more so I'll add the beautiful songs of theirs here: ( they have music for everyone bc they do a lot of different genre songs )
Silent Cry
The View
Happy - han solo
I hate to admit - bangchan solo
streetlight - changbin solo
Up All Night
Voices
Scars ( you should watch both music video and The First Take video)
based on your taste in music, i really feel like you will LOVE the songs written by han
-slump (watch the first take version!)
-19
-happy
-alien
-levanter
-another day
-phobia
songs that you will love/have pointed out to loving that aren’t necessarily written by only him:
-the view
-because i like you
-streetlight
-levanter
-mixtape: oh
-blueprint
-sorry, i love you
-gone away
-story that won’t end
-secret secret
-24 to 25
-scars
-waiting for us
-voices
-i am you
-chronosaurus
one of my favorite series of theirs for getting to know their personalities is
Han has a lot of meaningful and chill songs I recommend :
- Wish You Back - Han
- Happy - Han
- Alien - Han
I feel like a song you would like is "get cool". It really highlights Bang Chan and Felix's australianess lol. But its definitely a bop.
Han's voice is amazing! 😍
I love Han
Nice reaction! It's facts how ridiculously talented and good looking they are. Sometimes my brains can't really understand how talented they really are!
And about their looks.. I just want to remind for everyone watching that one part that make their skin looks so amazing is just pure movie magic. In South Korea they heavily use face filters and you can spot in many videos how company has decide to use filters. Of course they have nice skin to begin with but filters will make it look perfect. I just wanted to say this because you said how envious you were about their skin. They would look amazing without filters and I would love to less editing for their appearance in videos.
For softer songs my recommendations are Neverending Story, Sorry I love you and Slump. And more up-beat songs I would like to recommend All in, Circus and Cheese. :) Happy times for you to discovering all their amazing songs.
I hope that you can understand what I try to say with my bad English. English is my second language and grammar is too hard :D
You should definitely check out the Kingdom performances, all of them are amazing not just SKZ. You mentioned you like softer/slower songs and one of the groups in the show was BTOB which are known for their amazing vocals. They did a joint performance with Seungmin from SKZ and SKZ did a cover of I'll Be Your Man which was so good. I think you would really enjoy reacting to the performances. If you can watch the whole show on your own I think you would enjoy it. Ateez was one of the groups participating as well!
There are so many good SKZ songs and videos! I think you will enjoy getting to know them better through their music and I am glad you watched this breakdown earlier in your journey!
Thank you for reaction!
I’m strongly recommended to watch their performances in KINGDOM🥹
Stray Kids are the best! ❤️🙏😇
Thank you for reacting to this, that have interesting songs.
For BTS I would also recommend for you to watch The rise of Bangtan. 😊
Yess I definitely recommend checking out Day6 too
I highly recommend you listen to 'Winter falls' as you seem to like chill music. Can't wait to see you react to more SKZ. They're one of the best groups out there so I hope you enjoy their content.
Thank you for reacting to stray kids
The song that you really liked Happy by Han is on their TH-cam channel in the playlist SKZ player and SKZ record you can find his other solo songs and covers made by the members that are not on Spotify (player is with a MV and record is without)
Loved your reaction! I think you'd really like SKZ Code! :D
I think that the songs Han has written would really be to your taste based on sound & lyrics (lots of them are my comfort songs) :
"Alien"
"19"
"Happy"
"Wish you back"
"Slump"
"Secret secret"
"Close"
"Chronosaurus"
They have a lot of great songs on their youtube skz player playlist which is basically a playlist on their youtube channel that showcases individual talent whether it's singing/rapping/dancing & sometimes work in pairs.
Here's more to check out from them:
"Cause I like you" (changbin & felix)
"Zone" (3racha)
"Red lights" (bang chan & hyunjin)
"Charmer"
"Easy"
"TA"
"Beware" & "hellavator" (both predebut)
They have so much more songs as well. Also if u want to see live performances kingdom has really amazing stages & they did so well, I'd recommend their "wolf", "wolfgang", "love poem", & "I'll be your man" performances.
My favourite slow skz songs that i recommend are
I hate to admit - BangChan solo (it was also the song during his part of this video)
Mixtape Oh
Another day
Happy - Han solo
The view
street light - Changbin solo but ft Chan
Secret Secret
sorry i love you
My personal favourite songs that i relate to the most are Insomnia, voices and some of the ones listen above :)
Thanks for the Reaction and welcome to the STAY fandom :) (you're gonna be overwhelmed a lot if you're a K-pop fan btw)
I love every SKZ song, and I always have fun watching new reactors get hyped about all the bangers. The downside there is that the majority of reactors either never bother to dig deeper and go past the bangers, or that's simply not their tastes, so they deliberately skip the other stuff. You, otoh, seem like that rare prime candidate for appreciating much more of the breadth of SKZ's range, from the bangers to the chill to the tearjerkers, and I am SOOOO looking forward to watching you explore.
Despite having heard a chunk of "HaPpY" in this guide, I strongly suggest checking out the whole thing anyway -- I promise you that STAYs will still watch the reaction. My recommendation would be to react to the full trilogy, though. Because yes, that song is part of Han's trilogy, which covers the start, the middle/ending, and the aftermath of a relationship (of whatever kind; SKZ almost never get super specific, preferring to instead leave wiggle room so more people can identify with the songs in their own personal way). The trilogy in order is "Close," "Wish You Back," and "HaPpY," and judging by your reactions so far, I suspect you'll like all three.
I don't know if you even know what a bias is, but my early guess is that if you don't end up being an ot8 stan (which is what a huge number of STAYs are because we can't choose among the members), there's a good chance you'll veer toward Han. All three members of 3RACHA can and do write deep, emotional, powerful lyrics across a wide range of emotions, but Han in particular like to write the ones that gut punch you right in the feels. The previously mentioned trilogy, "Secret Secret," "19," "Sunshine," "Another Day," "Winter Falls," and more are all Han Songs (as in, unlike with most of their music, wherein 3RACHA work together, he wrote these lyrics on his own), and they're all the kind of songs to make some make the same face you keep making as you listen to "HaPpY."
In that line of thought, don't skip the SKZ-Player and SKZ-Record releases (independent art pieces of various forms released directly on yt simply for the fans and to give them more opportunity to explore their art). You'll find a lot of things in this softer or more chill vein there, including Changbin's "Streetlight," Chan's "I Hate to Admit," and Han's "HaPpy," all three of which you had a specific reaction to. In addition are things like Hyunjin's "Little Star," Changbin and Felix's "Because I Like You," a lot of beautiful, chill covers by Seungmin, I.N, and others, etc.
The "quokka" mentioned in Han's section is the teeny little wallaby cousin specifically from Australia. So fwiw, he's nicknamed after a native Aussie animal. (Google it. You won't be sorry. They're absurdly cute and look eerily like Han.)
you might check out Day6’s discography too.. they had tons of great songs and literally no bad song. I’m a Myday (day6’s fandom name) before I become an officially Stay. I know SKZ because Seungmin is a huge of Day6’s fan😊 and he also does look similar with one of Day6’s member, Wonpil 😂
Another group I recommend reacting to is Enhypen, they debuted November 30th 2020 so they are still quite new. There is 7 members and one happens to be another Aussie!! Also looking forward to the future reaction vids!!!
The song you like the most is my absolute favorite from them! Its Sorry, I Love You and its so underrated… you should check it out! ❤
Felix and Bang Chan’s families are still in Australia. They have yet to come home in years due to COVID and they have repeatedly said they missed their families and home country.
Yes please they are a rock based and they also have one of my favorite voices in k-rock ( woosung) :D
Skz Code is not copyrighted on TH-cam and you can find all the episodes on their official TH-cam Channel!
i recommend their kingdom performances
Thei recent album Ordinary got no.1 on billboard 200 charts
Thats exactly how we feel with them- overwhelmed , because it should be forbidden to have such multitalented people in one group, you never know who to look at! I’ve become a “Stay” relatively recently , but i’ve caught up on almost everything, so im looking forward to your journey, and there is a lot a lot 😬😬
Just a heads up when and if you do react to straykids's earlier music u will find that there used to be 9 members. The ex-member (Kim Woojin) departed from the group in November of 2019 due to some serious accusations outside of the group. Fair warning it is a sensitive topic among the fandom seeing as everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I jus thought to let you know for future videos. :D
None of the Kingdom: Legendary War performances have English captions, but they are all worth watching nevertheless.
I don't see any problem with reacting with stuff you've already heard before. If you want to post a reaction of Happy by Han I would do it reading the lyrics because they are super deep. Anyways I'm glad to know you are enjoying their music whether or not you record it all
You should react to Sorry by The Rose.
You have to listen skz scars and slump🤩🤩👍
You should react to stray kids code it’s really fun to watch
hi for your information skz code doesnot get blocked so you can react and upload on youtube
Lee Know is a former BTS backup dancer .
Can you react to time out from stay kids ? 😊 its a really good song 😍
Live stages and sometimes Japanese releases (especially when brand new) can be risky with copyright, but it's _very_ rare for the other stuff to get blocked. The general reactor consensus is that anything from the official Korean Stray Kids channel (as opposed to the Stray Kids Japan channel) is safe, be it music, dance, reality shows, whatever. It's free promo for them, and they know it.
Definitely react to ateez the are my 2nd fav group after stary kids of you want a guide it's really long but it's called the ultimate guid to ateezdeff react they also have many funny moments and good songs
Skz is usually pronounced s’kids btw ^^
omg
pls reaction to txt (tomorrow by together)
im sorry but im lowkey triggered when you said danceracha and vocalracha as dancers and vocalists. this "racha" thing is unique bcs there's no any other group using it as their sub units name (they always used either "line" or "team") so when someone says "danceracha" we obviously know it's the dance line of SKZ not other groups. so yeah the word Racha is really meaningful to us
This guide is not the best btw ''a helpful guide to stray kids 2022 edition by heliophilix'' is better and shorter and less to read also shows their skills better it's 35min
