- We leave Dunnet Bay and visit Dunnet Head to see the lighthouse and then continue to Kyle of Tongue where we set up camp and hide from midgies.

That's a pretty lighthouse, and so far north in Scotland. Hope you get to see some aurora :) You are finding some nice campsites along your coastal route. You had some nice views with the mountains. We were lucky with conditions some nights but the KP index was low so there was no Aurora. The night when it was strong we were too far west and it was cloudy so we missed out this time. All the more reason to go back again I say 😃👍🏻 Trev
Very pretty campground with all the mountains, that tree did look like it was doing a hand stand lol you can find lots of neat stuff in nature. xx

It was an unexpected stop-off and they are often the best. Really enjoyed the area and glad we took a chance and the hostel camp site had space for us. 😃👍🏻🚐 Sue x
Lovely site, didn't think Midges were around in September, especially around the coast 👍

As many beaches you go to, did you ever think of getting a metal detector? I’ve found quite a few pennies with mine 😆 Still waiting to hit the mother lode🤣 nice video 👍💕😊
We have never owned a meta detector but it would be fun to chance our luck. Wouldn’t it be good to uncover a haul of gold coins 😜 or maybe a box of rusty nails 🤣🤣 Trev
Love that little town you drove through. Oh that's a great camp spot! Love those water spots. Kyle of Tongue is a funny name to me. Love that mountain view too. Finished being nosy LOL. Oh no. I couldn't take the lavender. It makes me feel sick. Pretty as the spot is, I think I would have had to move on down the road. Great video!

Hi Trev, very interested in the cameras you use for vloging. We have just got our new motorhome and would like to Vedic out trips.
Hi Alan, this is the list of equipment that I use. I try not to over complicate things so I use basic equipment where I can. I started with a smartphone then got a Dashcam and then the Canon G7X mk2 which is what I use most of the time. I have a GoPro but don’t use it much.

A great little campsite. Are you finding a lot of difference between the new van and the old one i.e. parking and getting about etc and are you getting used to making the bed up every night ?.
We are really pleased with the comfort and extra flexibility we have with a van that’s one metre shorter and a wee bit narrower too. The bed situation is working well. It’s a lounge, diner, bedroom and there’s ample space to fit two humans and two small dogs. We will do a video at the end of this tour to explain more 👍🏻😃🚐 Trev
What is a midges. A bug never heard of it got to look it up. I'm from Tennessee so midges is a new on for me.
Hi, thanks for watching in Tennessee 😃 A midge is a Scottish name for a small fly that bites. In the warm damp areas of Scotland the midge comes in swarms so we call them midges and that’s why folks have nets over their heads to keep them from biting their faces and necks. It probably has a scientific name too. 😃 Trev

Thank you 😊 Our dashcam is a 1080P Nextbase dashcam that fixes to the windshield. It’s a pity that sometimes there are reflections on the glass but otherwise it works quite well 😃🚐 Trev

It’s so difficult to get all that you want to film into a Vlog. I think I miss more than I film purely because I am enjoying the moment too much. But I guess that’s what it’s about. There’s a subject for a Vlog right there 😉😃👍🏻🚐 Trev

The tractor drives down at low tide most evenings to tend to the muscle farm at the mouth of the estuary! We were there last week and curious too!! So we asked in the hostel!! Lol. Great site too. Loving your Scotland tour.

Every now and again we managed to find the midgies. They sneak up on you and nip like mad 😠 Trev
