I took time away from FFXIV in the middle of 5.1 as I was both feeling burnt out and going through some stuff, and honestly, for the longest time, I couldn't watch FFXIV content because it just made me feel gross.
I didn't unsubscribe, I just honestly didn't watch for a while, because of that. Then a couple weeks ago, one of your videos ended up autoplaying on my list, and I couldn't stop laughing. Everything (and everyone) that I loved about them was still here, just as I'd remembered, and it actually made me want to play again...after I binged all the videos I missed.
When I stopped playing, I had GNB, SMN/SCH, DNC, NIN and DRG maxed. Now everyone is maxed, I've done the latest Eden and the trials I missed (Ruby was AMAZING), up to date with the story, and I've finally started levelling my crafters, 6 years after I started playing.
Thanks for bringing me back, Drak. I knew I loved this game for a reason.

@@MeowMita iirc it's mainly a scheduling thing, people have lots of different groups and it's hard for everyone to always be able to commit to certain times. Most former nest peeps still stream with their current groups.
@@MeowMita it's either life getting in the way and not being able to play as much, joined another raid group, or just general scheduling issues where that arent available when everyone else is

Okay you peaked my nerdy amateur latin skills with this fight. Let's try some little translations!
Hmmmmmm "Terminus Est". Roughly "It is the end". Sounds about right XD
"Vivere Militare est": my best translation of this is "To live is to serve the military." Sounds appropriate for Varis, though a bit weird for an attack name.
"Altius" is just a noun meaning deep, or high, depending on context, again a slightly weird one.
"Ventus Est" is easy, a quite literal translation to "It is the wind."
"Citius" another noun which translates to "easily" or "quickly" which is pretty funny seeing as it's a tankbuster.
"Ignis Est": "It is fire."
"Fortius", another noun meaning brave or strong depending on context. A one shot mechanics, so that seems about right XD
I know this comments is months old, but you might find this interesting. Some of the names are likely references to the motto of the Olympic Games: "Citius, altius, fortius." (Faster, higher, stronger). That would explain why they seem a little out of place.
When I did this with my group my tanks took the big X DPS check and I just hear one quietly telling himself in Discord "Be...like...Thancred!"

I somehow never had this fight become spoiled all of the way up until I encountered it myself after leveling my third job to 80 and starting to get my Relic weapons before Endwalker.

Not 100% positive, but I think rez immunity only works with the different rez spells, and not LB3. My guess is to prevent cheezing certain mechanics, so you are vulnerable the moment your health goes back up

I'm surprised that Jesse's pictures weren't of his Au Ra, given he went on Zollton for this fight.
I wish our group was this relaxed. My FC has a static that asked me to fill the last spot despite knowing I will not watch a guide and hate having content explained for 50 minutes before doing the content then cussed me out for not being a chess piece because I wanted to enjoy doing the content. I'm still doing the mechanics correctly but because I'm not being a chess piece in the "veteran raider" of our group's hands I'm trash apparently.
