I want to say a HUGE THANKS for this as I had the exact same issue and without you would never have found it. The wires inside the rubber grommet were split. You sir are a legend and a gentleman. If I ever am allowed to travel again I'm flying over to shake your hand. 🇦🇺 cheers again for the video.
@@kennedysgarage3281 well after you made an Australian man smile I figured it was only fair. I've subscribed to your channel mate in support. 🇦🇺 🇮🇪 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have the same issue with the bulb, i will check the door connection block on the weekend. Without your video i probably never would of thought or checked this. Thank you....legend!!
Awesome - big thanks. I found the exact same problem found with my 2014 Transit Custom. In fact, I had 2 wires broken. I checked the rubber boot between the door and A-pillar and boom, broken & corroded wires. Thanks again, big time saver!
@@kennedysgarage3281 The indicator is working fine, as is the lock button (other broken wire), so not transposed The cluster came back to power today all by itself. I have had "connection" issues in the past few years, both the cluster and stereo have required the connectors disconnected, lubricated and re-connected - which fixed both. Been very wet here in NZ over the last few weeks (floods) so perhaps a bit of moisture. Anyway - everything is working well now. Your videos are excellent and helpful. Thanks again,
Nothing silly about that, fantastic video with very useful info. Well familiar with the broken loom problem on these vans, in fact it's happened again to a loom I changed for the same reason! But I'll have a go at fixing it this time based on your info. Thanks very much.
It was a handy enough job, but my thumbnails are are disaster. I even took a screenshot & put them up on my Instagram page just for a laugh 😂 😂 Good to hear from you again & glad things are going well in garage 👏🙏👍
@@aaronodonnelll6262 hi Aaron I presume you have located the broken wire(s) 🤞 then pull out one end of the the from the rubber protective sleeve and cut 2 or 3cm from it. Then solider on a longish piece of repair wire, the slide on a suitable piece heat shrink & cover your repair. Then feed the repair wire through the rubber protective sleeve & do the same procedure on the other side. You should end up with a repair close to the door & one close to the pillar. Hopefully this helps 🤞🤞
To flooming noisey 🙂 but for anyone that wouldn’t be familiar with using an oscilloscope the scope bit is very easy to use. Thanks watching it though 👍🙏

Sending you a virtual pint from England as a thank you for saving me a load of money and hassle. Brilliant video thank you so much.
Thank you very much Alex, that was a nice pint 🍺. Glad it helped mate 🙏🙏

@@kennedysgarage3281 Funny thing is, indicator wire and other wire fixed and now the instrument cluster is dead, no speedo, no rpm, nothing. Weird.
@@davidproud4039 could they be connected the wrong way around with the wires all being black 🤔
