This has been one of the best trips into the shrine for me. I didn't know it had the many paths to the top, and to such a height. Guu, under the lanterns do those happen to be wards? My kanji is not so good to know the meaning of what is on the lantern, and then ward (?) hanging. But I think I may know enough to make an assumption of them to be warding from spirits?
    ありがとうございます!

Thank you for watching! The word on the lanterns is "献灯", it means votive lantern. This vlog day has the festival in Fushimi Inari Taisha, "本宮祭", so many lanterns were lined up.

      Thank you for comments!
8:33 In the past, people made a wish at a shrine and dedicated a small torii gate as a token of their gratitude if their wish was granted. As a result, there are now more than 10,000 torii gates in Japan !!
