Basic Sanskar Bharti rangoli designs and shapes tutorial by Shital Daga - 1

Here is the first of the Sanskar Bharti rangoli tutorial video series. I have shown some basic shapes and designs to get started with. I will make more videos on this topic based on your feedback. So do write your feedback in the comments section and give a thumbs up if you like this video.
Rangoli designs are an integral part of the Indian culture and is a must in every indian festival. The purpose of rangoli is decoration, and it is thought to bring good luck.
Rangoli is also know with different name in different parts of our country. Rangoli in Maharashtra, Muggu or muggulu in andhra and telangana, kolam in tamil nadu, chita in odisha, alpana in West Bengal and chowkpujan in Uttar Pradesh.
Rangoli has also got a variety of different forms. Freehand rangoli designs, Sanskar bharti rangoli designs, Alpana, chowkpujan and many more. However you can use your creativity with all sort of props and make innovative rangoli designs. In fact with the use of props you can make very simple and quick rangoli designs.
You will make all sorts of geometric shapes and curves in your rangoli designs. People do make different birds like the peacock rangoli designs and even human faces which is popularly know as poster rangoli designs. Although the flower is the most common shape in the rangoli designs, you can make your own creative freehand rangoli designs.
Rangoli designs in its basic form are left sometimes without any colours but the colours form the most important element of the rangoli designs. Most importantly during festivals. Picking the right colours combination to make the perfect rangoli designs with colours may be difficult but
Oftentimes Rangoli is made on special occasions like Diwali, Dussehra (Dasara), Navratri and the Ganesh festival in Maharashtra. Some special patterns for Diwali Rangoli designs are the Diya rangoli designs, Ganesha rangoli, Lakshmi, flower rangoli designs or peacock rangoli designs.
