Hi Steve! Glad to see you are making the rounds around here from time to time. It is true, YT was not all that crazy about Strawberry Letter 23, the newer revised version with Maria Ford dancing. But for some reason they allowed it. Possibly because by that time I had a huge channel of over 90,000 subscribers. I am unsure whether it would be allowed at this time. They are tough on me now as I am a small channel. I am still working off a community guidelines strike for putting up Ohio Players' "Love Rollercoaster." You might have seen it on Vimeo not too many months ago; it got thousands of views a day for two years. Problem is it got marked as copyright infringement and was put on private so it could no longer be seen (Vimeo's way of blocking a video). I couldn't put up on Dailymotion, so I took a chance here at YT. Bad move. I consider it highly artful, despite the titillation factor. But art must take precedence on here, and being an artist, I think it is better that way. Still have to find a home for it somewhere. "Kashmir" gets age restricted over the human sacrifice scenes from Dagon (five films are featured, that is one of the five). To me it is just another horror film by H.G. Lovecraft, but the small amount of nudity and violence in Dagon is enough to get it restricted. It might be allowed to stay on and not taken down. There is a LOT of art in that video, as you well know. On my previous channel it never even got age restricted at all! But things are tougher now than in 2018 when it went up originally. There is this fine line where some things are allowed and other things are not, and I still can't figure it out. Of course, with me everything is subjective, what I see or do not see, someone else sees differently. Maybe someday we will try these two you mentioned, but not at the same time!!! Thanks Steve.
Hi Steve! I just wanted to let you know I tried to upload my "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin video. TH-cam took it down as it completed uploading due to content they detected that violated their community guidelines. Fortunately, they did not give me a community guidelines strike over it. So, no way that will ever go up again on YT. I can't say what might happen with Strawberry Letter 23, but I think it would be wise if my channel gets a lot more popular than it is now to try some of these videos. At one time many of these kinds of videos were "grey area" videos, pushing the envelope a little without bursting it, but today YT is at least 3x stricter than it was in the 2010s.
