Israel says it can no longer tolerate the terrorist group's presence along its border following back-and-forth attacks between the two. A former IDF spokesperson tells Fox News Digital that the offensive is "another step towards a significant escalation" against Hezbollah. This comes as tensions in the Middle East remain high amid the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

Lebanon has a right to defend itself.
The Lebanese should have been defending itself from Hezbollah who has been relentlessly firing missiles into northern Israel since October. Unfortunately, Lebanon will need to pay the consequences of allowing Hezbollah to make decisions on their behalf.
