I followed the crew to LA and worked on lots of things, a Wes Craven film (for the life of me l can’t recall which one but l painted a sign on a ratty dark blue ‘tv repair ‘ van some psycho drove in it if that’s any help), Men At Work and a bunch of other stuff, commercials, private stuff etc. Now l’m a regular artist back on the east coast and it’s sorta funny that out west no one bats an eye but here if l tell people l worked on Pet Semetary a trillion years ago they flip out so when parties get dull l can still revive a pulse if l happen to mention it. One job on PS was cutting tire tread marks into an industrial-size paint roller, black paint and a long running start to paint the skidmark on the pavement after Gage gets hit, rubber cement through a fan for endless cobwebs (mostly the cemetery woods), 6 cats acting and one died from unknown reason- (a real bummer, not to mention the loss of a talented cat worth $30k to the wranglers from what l recall) the small cape under the house facade actually caught fire for real when they burned it (NEVER agree to have property in a movie that place was MANGLED when it was over) so many cool secrets and tricks in that movie, NOTHING left to chance, we even had to paint some entire tree leaves back to green when the season started to change. For me, the guy who played mom’s sick sister (a flashback she had) was the creepiest, he freaked everyone out. That bay behind the farmhouse is still the most beautiful place on earth l have seen before or since.
@@tiasara9643 That Wes Craven movie was Shocker! It was one of those Nightmare on Elm Street type movies that were all coming out back then. Sounds like you worked on some classic films!
I used to live a couple streets over from Stephen Kings house. I read Pet Semetary back when I lived in Bangor (it was probably 20 years ago) I used to cut through his street to go to work in the wee hours of the morning and would wonder if he was in there writing something. I saw him a few times pulling out at the end of the street. There was an old movie rental place/store I believe on the corner of Broadway and Hammond. He had a tiny little red sports car back then if my memory serves correctly.

This was probably the BEST Pet Sematary filming location video I've ever seen. Living in Maine, I've visited a handful of these places, but the fact that you found the TRUCK, that sir, that is awesome! Great Video.
Love this movie. I remember reading somewhere that Stephen King wrote this book based off his own fear of a busy road that they lived near and how it had a lot of trucks driving fast on it. I can imagine how having small kids or pets when living next to a busy road can cause anxiety.
This was fascinating. Liked your imitation of the one line. The truck should be purchased and restored and placed in a movie museum somewhere. Good work, including the scenes from the film.

You really get a good sense and feel for the camera and blocking of the entire setpiece with this. Really fascinating how the whole Creed residence was for the most part was as it was scene on film, not much cheating or anything like that, especially the way you covered the camera shots and locations. Really cool because you construct and hold this world in a movie in your head, so it kind of solely exists in that capacity for the majority of the audience. But when you do this it really gets to let us open a new door mentally in our head and explore this place further.
Pascow's intro of him talking to louis in the hospital and right after when louis is asleep abd sees him in by his bedroom door saying come on doc weve got places to go was the scariest part of the movie to me. It gave me the worst chills ever
Dude, this is amazingly well done. I love how you show the movie clip locations and then show where you are at the current location. Definitely new subscriber. Keep making great content

I still love cats though 🐱💓, cheers from Kentucky USA ✌️ PS 14:25 nobody, I mean nobody would have exhaust pipes like that, come ON people, we're trying to keep a clean image here!
I'm almost 12 minutes into the video so far and it's very interesting but it would make it even better if you would explain where each location change is compared to the one before. Like when you went from the rocky burial ground to the hospital where are those locations at in relation to each other and all of the other locations that were shot? The next town, a different state? Enquiry minds wanna know! Also, I noticed some odd looking grooves that look like they were put in those rocky walls and also some holes that looked like they were bored into some of them also. I'm confident that it was probably done by the quarry company but it would be intersting to know why they were put there and what purpose they serve. I'm thinking that the grooves are left over from round bores drilled into the rock to maybe blast them with dynamite to break them into manageable pieces and the holes were probably bored for that purpose but never used.
This is freaking awesome! I know what it feels like. I live 30 mins from "Castle Rock" (Stand by Me) location. Thank you for doin these videos. I'm subscribed
Yay I’m happy to see you doing another filming location video and what a great one it is! You did a great job as always. Is the location of the truck not known until you found it?
Excellent video. I am a huge Stephen King fan and have read this book and seen the movie many times. Very nicely done. How cool to find the actual truck. Thanks for doing this!!
I lived in the Sedgewick area when the movie was filmed (the weird area with the rocks: Mic Mac burial ground). You have made me terribly homesick. Very cool to see all the old locations and of course, the truck. How sad that it sits abandoned to the elements; maybe no one wants to deal with the bad juju, even if it is only of the cinematic variety.
Cracking video :) That Micmac ground always stuck with me - the desolation and the music and the echoes made it a lot creepier that it could have been.
I'm sure Stephen King was wondering "Who's this filming outside my house? Orange jumper man, you're about to die in a book." Also, not a refinery, just storage. They have huge tanks like that in Montvale, Virginia, not too far from me. Someone needs to save that truck.
I stood outside Stephen King's house for about ten minutes, and I saw literally a different group of tourists come every two minutes to take pictures of the house. I'm sure Mr. King is used to it.
I worked as a scenic artist on this movie, the locations were beautiful, it was a magical experience.

Pascow's intro of him talking to louis in the hospital and right after when louis is asleep abd sees him in by his bedroom door saying come on doc weve got places to go was the scariest part of the movie to me. It gave me the worst chills ever
Sour implies Soggy more like Stale and so hard like a rock a pick ax won't get through it. I guess that's because a mans heart is stonier :)
Dude, this is amazingly well done. I love how you show the movie clip locations and then show where you are at the current location.
Definitely new subscriber. Keep making great content
As a truck driver, I can only say...the Ramones brought me here.
Actually no, I saw it as a thirteen year old and it gave me nightmares. I still love cats though 🐱💓, cheers from Kentucky USA ✌️ PS 14:25 nobody, I mean nobody would have exhaust pipes like that, come ON people, we're trying to keep a clean image here!
This gave me chills. One of my favorite movies. Thank you for sharing
Great stuff! I am so glad to see the real filming locations of one of my most favorite horror movie. The illustrations are terrific.
Well done sir and great find on the truck.
Thank You! For the amazing description of Pet Semetary a movie that I've seen several times.
This is freaking awesome! I know what it feels like. I live 30 mins from "Castle Rock" (Stand by Me) location. Thank you for doin these videos. I'm subscribed
That was cool man appreciate you taking the time to do all that with the locations!
These videos are AWESOME! Keep them coming!
You've done a great job to satisfy my curiosity 'itch'. So well done, I loved it. Thank you for doing this
Yay I’m happy to see you doing another filming location video and what a great one it is! You did a great job as always. Is the location of the truck not known until you found it?
Thank you very much for the video!! It is fascinating to see the places of the movie, the road, the truck, the sematary, everything incredible!
He is my favorite author! Nice to see his house!
Excellent job finding these locations! I only knew where the homes were but that was it. Thank you for this video, sir! Again, excellent job!
This video definitely got my like! Congrats on the BOYT nomination, your vids are worth it so I'll go give you a vote!
Thanks Andrew, I appreciate it
Excellent video. I am a huge Stephen King fan and have read this book and seen the movie many times. Very nicely done. How cool to find the actual truck. Thanks for doing this!!
Great job! Finding the truck was really cool! 🍺😎👍
You must’ve dug deep to find that truck lol
Cracking video :)
That Micmac ground always stuck with me - the desolation and the music and the echoes made it a lot creepier that it could have been.
I'm sure Stephen King was wondering "Who's this filming outside my house? Orange jumper man, you're about to die in a book." Also, not a refinery, just storage. They have huge tanks like that in Montvale, Virginia, not too far from me. Someone needs to save that truck.
Stephen most likely isn't there, he spend a lot of time away .
He chose to live in a house that screams "Stephen King lives here!" I'm sure he's used to it. :-P
I'm sure that he is used to gawkers..
Sexy gate at the King estate
I stood outside Stephen King's house for about ten minutes, and I saw literally a different group of tourists come every two minutes to take pictures of the house. I'm sure Mr. King is used to it.
I have zero life except for youtube and this is one of the coolest videos I've seen on TH-cam be careful though people go missing in state parks
