Tutorial on How to Make a Flat Brimmed Paper Hat (New Era Style)

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:
- (Optional) Go to this link to get the template for the hat piece shapes and PRINT 2 OF THEM: papermodels9...
(You may have to enlarge the picture. For an average sized head, make sure the bottom part of the two front crown pieces are about 4 inches wide. If you have have a smaller or larger head, then enlarge or shrink the picture just a very small amount from the average size)
- 1 or 2 extra pieces of regular printer paper
- Pencil
- Colored penicils (optional)
- Glue
- Tape
- Scissors
- Thin pieces of cardboard
- PATIENCE!!!!!!!!!!
The height of the hat should be about 4.25 inches tall, and the length around the hat should be about 25.25 inches around (this does NOT include the length around the bill).
Also, you can leave a video response of the hat you made from this tutorial, I would really like to see them!!

Thanks, this helped nicely finish a project for my son's class (i.e., he made a baseball player from a coffee can and paper+markers and this added a great-looking cap).
Thanks for this I made a gold version out of cereal packets and crepe paper and inserted a handmade christmas tree in the top for my kids christmas hat decoration competition. I hand sewed the pieces together with gold wrapping string.
Such of great idea to use this as a pattern for a fabric one. Thanks for sharing

you can take the same idea and change the paper to leather and use actual thread to make a real baseball cap.

Y i did ... I took da same idea except i used leather and thread and made a gangstar swag cap.... And i made a whole bunch of gangstar swag caps, all different designs sold them
and made almost $400

what if the hat was too small for my head do i make the shapes bigger or do i add stretchy string to it and add some silly string to it to look silly?
