    Yay! I've watched a dozen uke painting vids wondering, why isn't anybody using gesso? Yours is the first I've seen! Congratulations, and thank you.

    When u put the strings back on did u put in new ones or the same ones?

    • @SparrowSprings
      @SparrowSprings  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      new! It would be very difficult to put the old strings back on as they are generally trimmed once proper tension is achieved

      I'm pretty sure it was from the brand Rustoleum.

  • @andreaguthmann

    does it affect the sound of the instrument?

    • @SparrowSprings
      @SparrowSprings  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can’t honestly say this for certain as I don’t regularly play the instruments I paint, but it would require a moderately trained ear to tell the difference

    • @joebean3615
      @joebean3615 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have a thicker layer than it will a little bit but you would have to listen very closely to hear any difference

    You didn't sound as if you were enjoying this project very much. Shame, it's such fun to paint ukuleles.

    • @SparrowSprings
      @SparrowSprings  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at all, I did enjoy it, it was just a challenge since I have never done one before 😊

    • @libelle8124
      @libelle8124 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SparrowSprings Well, take what I said on board. If you don't like painting something, then don't make a video out of it. I watched it again and I still don't think you did enjoy this project. It also shows.

    • @SparrowSprings
      @SparrowSprings  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did consider what you said, I rewatched it. I believe you are misinterpreting my tone. First of all it’s instructional, second, I was problem solving during this painting and sharing what I was able to figure out, third there was some frustration with the recording, but not the painting. I tend to be more straightforward and not exactly a bubbly presence. So if that’s what you are looking for, no problem, there’s plenty of other videos to watch with people like that.

      @@libelle8124I noticed that while you seem to have a lot of opinions about it, you don't have any ukulele painting videos on your channel. Maybe don't criticize someone who is genuinely enjoying their art while you troll other people's work.

    • @libelle8124
      @libelle8124 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SparrowSprings Perhaps it would have been much more enjoyable if you'd sorted the problems out prior to making this project come across like a chore. I still think you were hating the project all the way through and the result speaks volumes. That's my opinion and your retaliations in the guise of explanations are excuses.
