As a Mac programmer, Swift has been a boon to me. It is the most beautiful language I have ever used, not only because of its expressiveness, but because it prevents us from writing bad code.
Swift absolutely does not prevent bad code. I can show you a few examples if you want :P - But it does encourage good code over bad code, yes

Swift is maybe the most overlooked programming language in the world right now and could (I think will) eventually replace C as the gold standard.

Not as long as it's confined to the Apple ecosystem. It may be open source, but there's little to no usage for it if you do not own an Apple computer.
I don't think so unless Rust somehow disappears.

@@gritcrit4385 And rust is a like sharper version of swift. Swift has it's own place, and it isn't near to the C as much as Rust is.

Swift is too Apple centric. Languages should be agnostic to hardware. Libraries matter.
