What amazes me here is that KZ created a new song from 2 Chinese songs, then practiced the pronunciations, lyrics, and melody within 1 1/2 weeks since the competition episodes were due every 2 weeks; and Chinese Mandarin is not even her language. There is another person you saw backstage in this performance you should check out. The older bald guy backstage is a Mongolian named Tengri . His original version of the song "Heaven", which Hua Chenyu has covered, was also a highlight of Singer 2018. It was a very unique performance which Hua Chenyu said should have won the episode. You could tell from the look on his face on that performance too.

KZ,a 4'9" dynamo. She always owns the stage. She only got 4% of the vote for this performance and was eliminated. It was easily a top 3 performance but she finished 9th. I don't think they understood her interpretation. Her fairwell song was incredible. I think they made a big mistake eliminating her.
