Honestly this ending really is tragic. Like yeah Valiant Hero is heart breaking, but this is tragic for a different reason. Reginald's entire life was the Toppat Clan. You can clearly tell how much he cares about them, especially in other endings. Before CtM came out, I saw Reginald's betrayal and thought "What a dick!" But he's actually completely justified. Let's consider it: Henry broke into the airship through their front window, did God knows what to RHM and took Reginald captive. That is literally the only reason he becomes leader: Reginald hands over leadership in exchange for his own freedom. When Henry calls Reginald for help getting out, he's betrayed because he hasn't proven himself worthy of leading the Toppats. We see this exact same scenario in the Toppat King ending, and Reginald even says "I could drop you right now and no one would know." But he doesn't. Because Henry has proved himself to him as a good leader. Let's look at what happened from Reginald's point of view: Henry has gotten himself captured and imprisoned at the Wall, a pretty well known place. No one has escaped in fifty years, and it's run in a cruel, inhumane way. And Henry has the damn n e r v e to call them for help escaping? Toppats could have been injured, captured or killed trying to get him out, and Henry has done nothing to show he's worthy to be leader. And he expects him to risk everything for him? After what he did? We don't know much of Henry's leadership, or even how long there is between ItA and EtC. Maybe Henry had potential, we don't know. Something we need to remember is that most of Henry's choices revolve around self-preservation, which is a huge "No" with the Toppats. The act like family around each other, betrayal is a huge deal for them(enough for Henry to be dethroned for betraying Ellie when he barely knew her. Like this stranger comes in and says their leader betrayed her and only two of them don't denounce him as leader. Once again, completely fair), so Henry's selfish actions would bother someone like Reginald a lot, who's completely loyal to the Clan. It's also tragic because Henry probably doesn't get that. He doesn't seem to understand that Reginald does care about the Clan and didn't betray him selfishly. He actually trusted the Clan and he got yeeted off the airship when he needed them. We see in other endings he CAN be selfless, and he does seem to care about the Clan. From T4L he actively stops a potential raid on the Toppats, and in TK he risks being left behind to make sure Ellie and RHM get into the rocket. Honestly it's the most sad because it's the most avoidable. Reginald didn't have to drop Henry, Henry didn't have to seek revenge. Their choices, even if they thought they were doing the right thing, led to their own demise and that's plainly tragic.

Also when Henry bursted through the window Reginald called right hand man to kill him as soon as he came, sure going through the window can startle him but why does he have to kill him as soon as he gets in what if Henry just wanted to go through the window and be cool? Reginald and Henry are both wrong Henry’s a little bit in the right and Reginalds a little bit in the right but Reginald didn’t have to betray Henry these are just my thoughts though

FINALLY A REVENGED MEME FFFFF This is one of my favorite endings, purely because of how bitter it is. Revenge is a bitter poison masquerading as medicine. This was really nute and well drawn! By "cute" I mean I really liked the animation, not that it was all kittens and puppies.
The question "was it worth it?" Has been burning into my brain ever since I heard it, and it honestly hurts to think about what has just happened to everyone.... I personally am a fan of the Toppat clan and thinking about why the betrayed ending happened isn't helping (I'm about to start a massive rant, so get some popcorn ready) Basically... I think Reggie was spitting bullsh*t in the betrayed ending, I mean, RHM is nowhere to be seen in FTC and we don't have any idea where he could have been. I've seen people say that he was still recovering from his fight with Henry, and I agree with that (of all the things Henry could've used.... He chose the chainsaw) And I'm pretty sure that having your closest friend laying on a potential *death bed* is stressful enough, but having to try and stay calm and chill Infront of everyone else, *AND* having to help the person who hurt your friend, break out of a complex that noone has managed to escape from in over *50 years!* That's just plane madness, and *INSANELY* stressful, and I know from personal experience, that massive amounts of stress can screw up your thinking, and make it more difficult to peace your thoughts together to create something that actually makes sense So... What I'm thinking is that, Reggie wasn't thinking straight, while "betraying" Henry was intentional, his mind was scattered and all he could think about was eliminating the initial threat, with that threat being Henry Reggie knew how dangerous Henry is, and that he was a threat to the people around him, and what do you do when you see a large threat? You either run.... Or eliminate the threat by any means necessary If it still doesn't make sense, then think of it this way You're Reggie. You've nearly been taken by the government, you're slightly panicked from that, you haven't seen your friend in awhile. So you look around for them, you find them dying in a hallway, you try and help them. They've gotten medical attention, but you don't know if they'll make it. But, you don't have time to keep panicking about it, you're the only one who knows how to fly this damn ship. So you need to act calm and collected, while pushing your thoughts into the back of your head so you can concentrate, but they keep bubbling up, and you need to keep them down, but every second that passes, the more those thoughts nag at you.... You get a call, from the person who caused this insanity that is going through your head, they need you to pick them up from the wall, a place that noone has escaped from in over 50 years. Everyone around you is in danger of getting caught and trapped, the thoughts come back again, this time you can't suppress them any longer. You manage to keep yourself together until you get to the complex, you see this person coming towards you, they just barely made it to the ship, barely..... If you dropped them... No-one would know... Everyone would think that you couldn't catch them And then, all the thoughts that you've been suppressing for this entire time come bubbling all at once, it's painful, enough so, that you could almost hear an audible cracking sound as your sanity and morals shatter, and.... Just like that.... It's all over now. You sit there, trying to peace together your broken spirit, you don't fully understand what has happened, but you know that there's no going back.... *Don't say I didn't warn you about the rant!* Edit: *Jesus Christ*

Yeah because Reginald gets the same chance to betray Henry in the Toppat King ending and doesn't: because Henry proved himself as a good leader. Henry's choices typically revolve around self-preservation, something the Toppat Clan doesn't really like. They act as a family and care for each member. If anything, Reginald's betrayal was in the Clan's interest. If Henry couldn't escape on his own and put the Clan in danger to save him, Reginald might see him as a reckless, incompetent leader who he had every right to overthrow! In his eyes, it probably wasn't even betrayal. He had no reason to be loyal to Henry.
I think Henry actually killed Right Hand Man in ItA because in his bio in CtM is "Right Hand Man *Reborn*" maybe Right Hand Man was actually killed but he was brought back to life,just like Henry,so I don't think he almost died,he did died,another argument is ¿How can a guy survive a Chainsaw?
I feel bad for everyone in the revenged ending. As other people have pointed out, Henry acts mostly out of self-preservation. But here's the thing, Reginald never gave him the chance to prove his worth in this ending (as his leadership is described as "a brief stint"). He never knew how great Henry could be. And we see that Reginald unofficially usurps him anyway. Reginald is dedicated to the clan, but he didn't know when to put his ego to the side and realize someone other than himself could be worthy. And Reginald also made the fatal error of betraying someone who purely acts on self-preservation. He didn't have to answer Henry's call, but he did. He looked Henry in the eyes before dropping him to his death. It was personal. Reginald killed off Henry so he could have power again. If we got to see other members (like the ones who busted into the Wall) out Reginald for his actions, would Reginald have gotten dethroned? He personally betrayed Henry, when Henry depended on him. Honestly, Reginald deserved what he got in the end. But was it worth it? I don't think so. I love Reginald as a character, and I know how loyal he is to the clan as a whole, but the power got to his head a bit. To think this could have been avoided if he had actually helped Henry, instead of offing him to get back into power. He never gave Henry the chance to prove himself, and for that, he lost everyone and everything he held dear. In a way, Reginald killing Henry was revenge for what he did to RHM, but both him and Henry soon found that Revenge is a poisoned delicacy.
I keep imagining if betrayed had a way to get ellie involved. Then you both get betrayed by the toppats. Both of you are turned into robots and it all plays out the same, Henry still dies but Ellie is there watching. I'd assume Ellie survives, but in return watches Henry slowly die just like in the actual revenged
The thing I noticed about Reg is that his face did already seem to have the tear before he got stuck to the wall. And I don't think it was the thought of him dying... I think it was something else See if you can figure out what I'm saying
imagine this but the next thing is Ellie makes Henry jump off the board in the civilwar toppats and then he comes back to take revenge on her and the toppats
This is one of the animations that brings back good memories about last year. Like i remember myself just sitting in my room watching these animations while the sun set. I miss the memories already and im 100% going to get nostalgic about it one day-
there was covid, quarantine a lot of bad things happening in 2020 but there were also a lot of good things i miss when the henry stickmin fandom was still alive those were pretty good days

To say a less than one minute video genuinely changed my opinion on the revenged ending is pretty impressive. Where I used to have this ending because it’s just petty revenge, seeing the comments and the video itself, it’s changed my view. I see it now, instead of a petty revenge, as someone chasing after something they didn’t deserve. Reginald didn’t drop Henry for no reason other than power, but because of Henry’s selfishness. And this really shows. L Sure, reg was their leader, but RHM could have easily left him to die, pretending he wasn’t there, but he didn’t. He saved Reginald, and this shows the true nature of the toppats. Not some reckless criminal cult, but a family, one that cares for each and every member.

Henry's choices typically revolve around self-preservation, something the Toppat Clan doesn't really like. They act as a family and care for each member.
If anything, Reginald's betrayal was in the Clan's interest. If Henry couldn't escape on his own and put the Clan in danger to save him, Reginald might see him as a reckless, incompetent leader who he had every right to overthrow!
In his eyes, it probably wasn't even betrayal. He had no reason to be loyal to Henry.

I think Henry actually killed Right Hand Man in ItA because in his bio in CtM is "Right Hand Man *Reborn*" maybe Right Hand Man was actually killed but he was brought back to life,just like Henry,so I don't think he almost died,he did died,another argument is ¿How can a guy survive a Chainsaw?

I feel bad for everyone in the revenged ending. As other people have pointed out, Henry acts mostly out of self-preservation. But here's the thing, Reginald never gave him the chance to prove his worth in this ending (as his leadership is described as "a brief stint"). He never knew how great Henry could be. And we see that Reginald unofficially usurps him anyway. Reginald is dedicated to the clan, but he didn't know when to put his ego to the side and realize someone other than himself could be worthy.
And Reginald also made the fatal error of betraying someone who purely acts on self-preservation. He didn't have to answer Henry's call, but he did. He looked Henry in the eyes before dropping him to his death. It was personal. Reginald killed off Henry so he could have power again. If we got to see other members (like the ones who busted into the Wall) out Reginald for his actions, would Reginald have gotten dethroned? He personally betrayed Henry, when Henry depended on him.
Honestly, Reginald deserved what he got in the end. But was it worth it? I don't think so. I love Reginald as a character, and I know how loyal he is to the clan as a whole, but the power got to his head a bit.
To think this could have been avoided if he had actually helped Henry, instead of offing him to get back into power. He never gave Henry the chance to prove himself, and for that, he lost everyone and everything he held dear.
In a way, Reginald killing Henry was revenge for what he did to RHM, but both him and Henry soon found that Revenge is a poisoned delicacy.
I keep imagining if betrayed had a way to get ellie involved. Then you both get betrayed by the toppats. Both of you are turned into robots and it all plays out the same, Henry still dies but Ellie is there watching. I'd assume Ellie survives, but in return watches Henry slowly die just like in the actual revenged

To say a less than one minute video genuinely changed my opinion on the revenged ending is pretty impressive.
Where I used to have this ending because it’s just petty revenge, seeing the comments and the video itself, it’s changed my view.
I see it now, instead of a petty revenge, as someone chasing after something they didn’t deserve.
Reginald didn’t drop Henry for no reason other than power, but because of Henry’s selfishness. And this really shows. L
Sure, reg was their leader, but RHM could have easily left him to die, pretending he wasn’t there, but he didn’t. He saved Reginald, and this shows the true nature of the toppats. Not some reckless criminal cult, but a family, one that cares for each and every member.
