6 QoL Wuthering Waves NEEDS

- Hey guys, been a hot minute. Wuthering Waves has made great strides in the quality of life department but I believe there are always more QoL around the corner they can add! Here are some of my thoughts, lemme know what you guys think.
Also saw (couldn't help it it's all over my feed) some leaks of the new place and story. 2.0 gonna go WILD!

Echo loadout are coming ( they already talked about it)

Events will be playable or relatable without limited rewards

Aside from lock and trash add like a Favorite tag for echoes. Multiple discard tagging if selected in batch echoes section.
Yep I keep capping on echoes because I'm lazy to sort lmao
Echo filters (main stat, substat, etc) just like HSR's, pity counter until guaranteed 4*/5* just like ZZZ's, maybe a dedicated build planner just like what's coming to ZZZ.
As much as I love to have sweeps, I feel like "daily time spent by players" is a metric that companies like Kuro seriously consider when planning content, and having sweeps that turn that metric into near-zero kind of skews expectations by both the developers and the players.
Echo filters would be great. Would definitely love to see some sort of template in game for a character where we can see materials we're missing instead of having to calculate it out of the game ourselves.
Hmm I see your point. I guess it depends. Atm the core daily routine feels very fast thanks to the x2, perhaps I could see it being introduced if they decide to add more to the weekly routine mm
That makes sense about the sweeps but actually makes it even better of an idea. The game should make it clear when people are finding meaningful things to do instead of lollygagging through dailies.
If you see your players are spending 15 minutes in the game, you will instantly know they actually have something worthwhile to do without having to do weird accounting for the simple stuff.
100% would love all of these…EXCEPT for instant clears. I don’t understand the concept of making it so you actually don’t have to play a game. If it’s easy enough so that instan clears should be fine, just play the content. It’s easy and quick so I think players should just do it.
Everything is a yes though ESPECIALLY Echo/weapon load outs and the portable synthesizer. Good thing is that Kuro already said they are working on these exact two things so it’s just a matter of when. Hopefully, we get at least 3 loadouts per character and it includes the weapon.
yeh that's fair, can definitely see where you're coming from however I consider those dailies to be a 'grind' in the sense of it's repetitiveness /tedium and anything to ease that grind for a player is welcome. Given that they already do it in PGR (despite the fact that combat is absolute stellar in that game, and the mode is easy as well) I thought it'd be a logical step for them.
Glad to hear they're working on the rest! Hopefully it drops next patch on the reruns or Rinascita!
Shorter overworld boss respawn timers please, or just remove them completely. I'm grinding for some better 4 cost echoes and it takes like 30-60 minutes for me to get a 4 cost with the mainstat that I want, only for it to roll defense on the first sub ;-;

I'm guessing the timer is there for coop players. For me, the better solution is giving the players an option to respawn the bosses themselves, adding more button on reward claim pop up that says restart

I think artifacts maker instead of giving random sets they can ask to make a particular set with random echos😢

Hot take: the game is becoming too trivial with all these QoL stuff. Exploration and traveling are already trivial. Other than holograms and the overdrive tower (that are 1-time only btw), a game that's supposed to be action focused is actually super easy.
If they keep adding everything that everyone in the community is asking, they'll end up with a game for no one.
Damn some people aren't afraid to be wrong huh...seems like this is ur first gacha no matter how hard they make bosses or enemies it won't matter cuz little Jonny wants the perfect build...which means Jonny can out damage the enemies health bar...games like this r only "hard" in the beginning

Not my first gacha, i'm soloing the tower with chixia and danjin without perfect builds. You're trying to be smart here, but the game isn't helping you lmao good try tho

what about echo management? batch merge is great but it's still a real hassle every week to clean up so much TRASH. lol

Absolutely. I hate picking up the stats to keep and throw. Also, they need to look at the longterm issue cause once we keep on locking unleveled echoes, we'll eventually hit a limit. I
Something I would really like would be the ability to turn uselesss Echoes into more tubes, because my god they are scarce. I only have 3 chatacters built and i'm almost out ☠️
Instead of that converter, creating our own tubes would be much better. Not too easy of course, they should put a necessary but reasonable amount per tubes, that would make grinding for echoes even more beneficial. And of course, create their own section in the training course, so the people who can just find time to spend their waveplates don't get behind in the grind
Haha yeh I feel you, that was basically me; luckily at UL70++ it's a bit more chill and you're swimming in tubes. Hang in there! Doubt they'd make this change but I'd personally love to see it - would be great QoL for early-mid game players
Im gonna rant about the game too, I feel like it is an abandon project ngl, theres no theme, the aesthetic (U.I) is really displeasing to watch, the only good things are the graphics (like battle effects,scenery) and combat. While the core gameplay of the combat is nice, I really fucking hate it when the chars starts to levitate doing combo strings, while hovering you'll inevitably do a plunging attack everytime because lets be real, players just smash the button instead of counting how many normal attack done cuz yeah the game revolved around a quick style combat. The story is very uninteresting to me, not to mention the lore they're to shove down our throats all at once (thank god for the skip button). I only know Koro as just a fan-service tailored game developers and nothing more. The clock is very outdated and not even futuristic for a game like this (again theres no theme). Using Echoes is sometimes a hit or miss, the tracking is really hard to predict at times. The font choice for damage numbers and overall text is really bland, its like they settled for comic sans (ugly and basic font) and didnt even bother to change it in the beta. The unique of this game is just Echoes, thats all. Oh and I still hate they use gourds as a capturing device and for communication like wtf is the lore and design planning of this? I really dont care if theyre trying to bring their chinese culture in the game but come on, atleast make it look really pleasing. 100% its for selling purposes like merch whatever.
My simple QoL wish is just that they add infinite air dodge but still consumes the stamina if you're trying to make many dodges. The game still feels like a beta and its just a passable game, nothing special about it. I really hope they stop making their chars go flying when doing combos. Its a shame potential of a game.
Sonata effect filter while echo merging, would be great
I am playing only for 3 days now because I didint know this game existed 😞. I am listening to story, exploring watching some guides etc. But 2 things I would love to see for me personaly so far is Bindable key for a camera the world is freakin amazing. And the second is from what I have heard there used to be some kind of roguelike dungeon in the event or something if I am not mistaken, so I would love that back as permament feature. I dont know how it worked but I know I love the combat in this game and if there was like each time a different playable character and random enemies? Hey, I am all for it and you get to try the characters you dont own at least I hope it was like that. If not hell I love roguelikes with all the randomness. Slap some leveling up material as a reward for clearing it and I'd be happy wee lad.
Edit: Hell yeah!! I would love to see the next ascension material needed before leveling to the current cap!!

I think you're talking about the "depths of illusive realm". They actually recently made that a permanent event! They have different trial characters for different levels so worth checking out. Leveling materials were added as weekly rewards + the typical astrites on first clear.
2.0 update going to be wild, I don't want to spoil anything so look up the most recent official wuthering waves vid; TGA 2024 promotion video and enjoy 😌
What I want them to do is remove the dailies as the primary source of asterite and resort to weekly end game just like in PGR where logging-in thrice (more or less) a week is enough to get every premium currency.
That would actually be damn good man, generally logging in daily in any game should be discouraged tbh. Would love to see it!
I hope they add in better bosses. Let’s be real, since 1.0 they haven’t added any good new bosses besides dreamless hologram which is a recycled boss with updated move set. Inferno rider hologram sucks, Jue doesn’t have any interesting mechanics and just flies all over. The fallacy of no return would have been good but it currently doesn’t have the correct format to capitalize on its strength. Either you have to kill it in overworld where it dies in 2 seconds or you vs it in tower of adversity where it just feels frustrating when it’s flying all over and the timer keeps ticking down. This 1.4 patch I was very disappointed with the climax of the event just using very weak recycled bosses with dream link mechanic. I was expecting a big black cat boss or a doppelgänger Camellya which would have been really cool to experience. What Kuro does best is boss fights and since release of WuWa they been slacking on that front. Hopefully the 2.0 bosses are good and they release a decent hologram for Fallacy of no return. Also please Kuro bring a few vanguard soundtracks to WuWa. They are so iconic for PGR, and they definitely fit the atmosphere of WuWa as well.

Hopefully Rinascita's bosses are a return to form indeed! PGR's music was top tier, I was very sad to hear Vanguard wasn't working on WuWa as well
Fallacy Hologram is coming in 2.0, which scares me. What sorts of new attacks are they going to give it? Usually we can see some of what they'd get in IR, but you dont fight Fallacy past difficulty 4 so you aren't in the fight long enough to see any new attacks.
@@GoogleeeeeeeJust the simple fact of removing the mechanic of slowing down time when dodging would already make the game more difficult, just ask them to add this to the game as a debuff mechanic, on the nightmare bosses.
the game would literally become a souls.
