This music perfectly represents Gerat, once great kingdom - corrupted by foreign powers and constant internal conflicts. It is a place where time has stopped and Romani made a grave mistake of trying to tame this land.
I can't help but think that the developer modeled this after the Soviet-Afghan war. A large empire fighting in a foreign land, realizing how weak it is in reality. A strong empire being brought to its knees, by an inferior enemy. Don't tell me the resemblance isn't there.
@@jord1214 Actually it isn't there. It was modelled after Russian Empire conquest of central asia, Khivan Kahanate to be exact. Initial attack was uncesessful, but Khiva fell about 30 years later. Names, visual aesthetics and the general "likeness of events" - all based of that time period and place.

The music isn't royalty free, but it also isn't submitted under a record company that matters so there's no automatic upload to TH-cam via Topic, hence why I'm just doing it myself.
Other than that I'm fairly certain Konstantin properly licensed this for use in Highfleet otherwise Microprose wouldn't have agreed to publish.
