@AmauryGarcia I didn't think they did. I'm not sure. I've noticed times where it seems the buffs wear off, so I usually redid them just to make sure. This game is kinda annoying in that it doesn't have a buff indicator.
@NekoValtz I like that this one isn't really dependent on having played the first three. Good for those of us that never got to play the originals ^^; I have the general idea of their plots though, they seemed good.
@DelilahDandi The extra comments weren't necessary. I see and read all of them. Anyways, if you check out my channel page, you'll find the playlist. All the videos are in order there. After this video, there's the option of watching the extra boss-battle scenes, or skipping to the ending. I'd link, but they don't work in the comments :P
@Himstrike1 Yeah, that should be fine. I've killed him even around the 25-30 range. You have to use different tactics depending on your level, team, skills, and equipment. I wouldn't suggest the "Run up and beat him down with co-op attacks" tactic I use here unless your characters can take a direct eye-beam of death and make up the damage from his health-leeching attack. Most people do the "Smack him from a distance while his darkness shield is down" thing, but it can take a while.
@HikariKirameku The only way oh really knowing if the buff's are still there is checking the stats on the char's while in battle. I'm almost at this point in the game, im working my way through the floors. I just recently picked up another one from this series, end of darkness i believe, too lazy to go look. But this is very helpful, i made 2 slot save's so I can try to find all the scroll's or books and whatever else I missed.
Yeah, though it takes a while for it to really show. Once you get the extra range from the Snake Wire item, and up her attack a little, she's pretty awesome.
- I just picked by whoever I had wanted at that point in time. In this case I went by each side's starting trio. (Kharg, Paulette, Maru, and Darc, Delma, and Volk). - Paulette, and any character really, can kick butt if you know how to use them. - Romantic stones can be gotten from beating the hardest difficulty of Lamda arena, and from strating a New Game+ Hope that answers your questions ^-^
I was way young with a new baby and had such a difficult time with this one. I mean, I finally did it through sheer luck, but I had a hard time with it.
@TheGuy0242 That all is explained in the game's manual. If you don't hve one, many of the online guides explain them all. You seemed to have a lot of other questions anyways (from your other comments), so that's probably your best bet. My favorite guides are on GameFAQs.com.
Try going to GameFAQs, if you're having trouble. There's a ton of really good guides with various strategies for how to beat this guy. Depending on character levels, the strategy you'll need to use will be quite different.
Nope, it was comepletely random. I was actually hoping for a Darc/Kharg combo to end it instead :P That one works well too. Plus, on other playthroughs, I've had Darc'Kharg kill him anyways. You wouldn't believe how many times and ways I've killed this guy :P

@Himstrike1 Somewhere in the 45-55 range, Darc and Kharg were the highest.

@HikariKirameku
The original three are on PSN if you ever get a ps3 or psp
oh man, I miss this game. good times ps2
@ink4852 Because giant eyeballs are creepy? Plus, he's been the boss in all the Arc the Lad games.
I was way young with a new baby and had such a difficult time with this one. I mean, I finally did it through sheer luck, but I had a hard time with it.
Anyone notice the 0 at the spirits stone
Yeah, the double attack lines tend to make no sense, lol, since they're random (with a few exceptions).
I had Diekbeck, but for this video I wanted to use characters that were available to everyone.
Romantic Stone accessories are amazing like that...and this is a New Game+ so having two is possible.
Why does it always seem to be a giant eyeball in these RPGs?
What’s funny about this fight, is that it’s the only one in the entire game that you really need to Buff. After, it’s pretty easy honestly

I have to say Paulette was perhaps the strongest human in this game IMO. Next to Maru.
@HikariKirameku Got that right.
OMG you made it look so easy! :-O
omg ur so good at this game i wish me and my bro cud defeat the lord of the black abyss

I've done it a lot...experience helps :P Powerleveling characters in arenas doesn't hurt either >D
I remember this game being an ok one. Not as great as the original trilogy but I did like the two differing story lines.
I beat the giant eyeball in Persona 4 pretty soundly but this giant eyeball is giving me trouble,I hate giant eyeballs!

"how's it look?"
"To protect our loved ones!"
what??
@HaHaxIxWin No, you had it right, that's what he says.
