Had this kit before, but as the ancient airfix model. May have to build again. I still have the esso tanker and cattle wagon too to build! Its amazing to think when that kit hit the shelves britain was predominantly steam powered
great looking little engine. It really is amazing that this kit still is around. My dad bought med that loco in the early 1960s, my first kit, made by Airfix. thanks for the video ! and i wish you a happy easter !
I do appreciate your videos very much and this one was indeed enjoyable. Furthermore, the finished model is very nice. Especially if one considers that the castings of these models are so old (as far as I know), hence the fit is usually not the best. Instead, there will be a lot of putty and sandpaper used. In addition to that, I'm usually not that keen on videos with music, as peoples taste in music differs a lot. Therefore, I often watch videos like these with the sound off. This time, however, it was very nice and soft jazz is truly spot on ... at least for me. Thumbs up from Sweden
Thank you Sweden! The mold for this model must be ancient. The model originally came out in 1961! Check out my blog for more details: www.sundborg.wordpress.com The music is from a TH-cam channel called Freesound. All their music is royalty free for everyone to enjoy and use including for TH-cam content producers (like me) - so they deserve a lot of credit. Not least for their jazz-tracks!
Not the way I built it, but according to the instructions you should be able to build it with moving wheels. It’s just that I only wanted a stationary model so I glued everything in place. 🚂

Yes, you are absolutely right, this kit is in-itself a piece of history now. No way up to today’s standards, but still enormous fun to build.
these locomotives are so cute, and watching you put the pieces together is relaxing, I really admire your patience, congratulations
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, the small 'Pugs' are very cute - like the dog breed of the same name 🐾

Is it able to be pushed along?
