Joeys def Riverview in last minute & invade pitch, 2018 GPS rugby

Last 5mins of Joeys defeating Riverview [in the last minute] & massive pitch invasion in the annual local derby: St Ignatius' College v St Joseph's College, GPS rugby championship 2018 r5, played at Lane Cove, Sydney, 18 Aug 2018. Full game is on my channel too.

Being a joeys old boy i have never seen other joeys old boys act in this way. They would never have done this in my day, but we used to win the comp every year back then, so didn't see the need to carry on like that after a win!

From 2: 08-2:20 there is clear footage of the Riverview no.14 being physically assaulted and intimidated by Joeys old boys amongst a large crowd of them, similar to other off camera instances which occurred as Joeys stormed the field whilst the game was still in play. This behaviour is disgraceful considering he is a schoolboy and those 'men' are legally accountable as adults for their behaviour. I am unsure as to why Joeys have not apologised on their behalf.

Joeys and Riverview staff have both examined the footage. Their summation is that it clearly shows the View 14 responding to a push by turning around and attacking the Joeys old boys with a thrown punch/elbow action. The View 14 was not struck but jostled by the crowd and lost his feet at one stage,. You can also clearly see the 14 wanting to continue on with the fighting and was restrained by the View 2..

i think he would be quite frustrated after blowing an easy win, emotions kick in when your aggravated by the old boys. i think the old boys are able to cop a few punches or push and shove from one player 5 years younger than them. i guess they were looking for that outcome

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from the Joeys old boys. A stain on their school and the GPS competition. St. Joseph's and all affiliated with the school should be ashamed.
