♥️♥️♥️♥️... Tanks water bodies near temples were meant for exclusive pooja purposes only, not for ground water, those are separate build by rich and kings ji.
    Nice post 🙏🏾

@@ai66631 Thank you for the comment. A few points to note here would be - We may never be able to confirm with cent percent clarity as to what was the intention of various practices by our ancestors. That’s something only they’d be able to do. We can make close enough hypotheses. Each practice might been built with the intention to have multiple benefits and to aid many causes. So yes while one of the purposes of having water bodies near temples was for using water for daily poojas, these water bodies also eventually aid in replenishing ground water. Even today dredging is done on the water bodies near temples and this is not only for cleaning purposes but also for ensuring that it replenishes ground water.

@@mallikavasudevan2744 Hello greetings, this temple is in Nabalur near Tiruttani and the best mode would be to go by own transport. If you opt for public transport: all Tiruttani to Chennai route buses (Except Express Buses) stop at Lakshmapuram. From there, Nabalur Temple is around 4 kms.
