Its actually in the movie, well cloaked anyway. Its in some of the scenes when you see the cloaked predator running around, they couldn't re-shoot all the cloaked bits because of how much the invisible effect cost to make back then.
This game reminds me of back when Cartoonz played Evolve. Ahhh the memories.

The Alpha's outfit is based on the original Predator costume that Jean-Claude Van Damme wore. It actually looks like a predator killed the original design and made armor out of it. I don't know how popular the movies would be if they kept it looking that way.
The original design survived in it's own way. The insect like creatures in Predators, like the one that gets taken out while chasing the doctor guy, were based on the original design.
And there was a character cut from Predators called the River Ghost
I like to think they’re some kind of race the Predators have been in contact with (maybe both hunted each other on and off)
So it's an Alpha in both senses, then. Alpha as in apex, and alpha as in original, rough design. I like that.
Actually the story of the alpha is that those btec predators try to make the predators into slaves or something but then he chose to fight back that's the canon story of the alpha predator

Something i'd love to see, an Assassin Predator.
Basically my idea would be: His health is Half that the Normal Predator has, his head on fighting is trash, his attacks are super weak and frontal confrontation = DEATH.
So to compensate for this! They should have a Poisoned Ranged weapon, all you need is one hit and they start taking damage, where the Humans need to either find a Herb in the wild, or waste a Medkit to cure themselves. And also, if you are Not spotted, you can Assassinate them, insta killing (or just downing?) but if you are spotted, you cannot do it.
He would obviously also need to be A lot faster than any of the Predators to make up for his weak physical strenghts, aswell as having a much bigger Energy storage.
I feel this type of Predator would be an absolute nightmare to fight, since you could get backstabbed at any moment...But where one of your team will die, the others can hopefully quickly shoot the soab to badly injure it and cause it to retreat and most likely waste one of their heals.
What are your thoughts on my idea?

I really do and don't like it. A predator that rewards actually stealth is cool but poison that lasts forever till a herb or medkit use? Bit op. Unless the herb is common no fireteam member would ever have medkits. Also in a game where theres actually perfect invisibility insta downing for not being spotted is horrible
@@justasalamander2621 Well it could be more of a Weak poison, or in a very low supply, so you only get like 3 shots, otherwise yea i completely understand how it could be OP.
Well could always do so instead of pure invicibility like the others have, it could be a camouflage that only works aslong as you stand still, having to try to predict more where they are going. or being strapped with a lot of parts that jingle a ton, idk, it was a spur of the moment idea, ofc it would have flaws.
Another way around it could be that the fireteam has like motion sensores or something.
And about the insta downing, the work around for that would be that the Fireteam would be forced to go in Groups rather than wander around on their own, the Predator would not risk downing someone if it meant nearly dying in the proces.
@@ForemostCrab7 the thing is all predators are only perfectly invisible when staying still. Also its always better to stay as a team. Trust me when i say predators do go for the kill even if risking their life

I play as the predator and I wait atleast a while before attacking people. If there is one soldier getting his teammates back I let them to get more xp and more fun. Short games are lame

Fun fact, that Alpha mask is a reference to the original design for the Predator that was more of a giant insect. It's been retconned into an alien species that invaded Yautja Prime and enslaved the Preds long before they had their technology and hunting customs.
Didn't the yautja steal alot of their tech. But refitted them into their purpose.
@brxken_samurai That was a theory some people had, though there was no evidence to back it up. As of the release of the Neca Alpha Predator the skin is based on there's a new origin that incorporates bits of that theory.
The species that invaded Yautja Prime enslaved the primitive Yautja. They were used for slave labor and gladiator fights for entertainment. Over time the invaders used their tech to genetically mutate the primitive Yautja, making them stronger and smarter, into the more recognizable form we see today. They did this to make more formidable fighters for the arena. The Yautja that resulted from this pretended to be subservient so they could grow their numbers and plan an uprising led by the Alpha Predator. Said uprising succeeded, and the Yautja adopted the technology of the invaders, continuing to improve and develop it. So the tech is basically one of the trophies won through battle.
This new backstory also explains why Yautja consider genetic manipulation to be an Abomination, because of how it was forced upon them in the past, eventually developing into a cultural taboo.

The alpha predator was actually planned to be used as the original predator creature but they decided to use the other model its name wasnt actually the alpha predator is actually didnt ecen have a name but the figure company decided to remake the creature as a figure and named it the alpha predator and then the fugure came to life in the game and became a playable character
I would say its a breed between the berserker predators breeding with another bugblile creatures!

It seemed like they couldn't see you at all while you were cloaked and standing still, unless I missed a patch I'm pretty sure that normally only happens if you're squatting.

Yeah, I'm sure, but it's certainly a big help for predator mains like myself, I've more recently been running into the issue that because all the objectives are the same, a lot of fireteams don't play them anymore and instead only use them to draw the predator in and then hunt them down.

The mask is the face of an insectoid species known as the Amengi. The Amengi were the slave owners of the Hish species who are decensdants of the Yautja species. The Alpha Predator is a Hish. After the successful revolt which gave the Hish their Freedom. The Alpha Predator known as Kaail craved-off the face of the biggest looking Amengi and now wears it as a mask.

Honestly, I don't understand. Every time I watch the TH-camrs play, the fireteam are just all noobs and cannot even see the Predator is just close near by. But when I actually get into the game, fireteam are hunting the Predators down and can always figure out where you are and chase the predator the whole map.

Fun Fact: This skin is based off of an action figure which takes its cues from the original design used for the Predator before the Stan Winston-designed version we all know and love was created. It was a vaguely insectoid goofy-looking rubber suit with a floppy neck that looked absolutely ridiculous, which you can see in some surviving pre-production test footage.
Bonus Fact: Said goofy-ass costume was originally worn by none other than Jean-Claude Van Damme, who at the time was a little-known stunt performer with a few small roles under his belt. He was eventually replaced by actor Kevin Peter Hall.
