As one who has been professionally involved in similar work, I can say that this is an example of a fine installation of pervious concrete. Hats off to the team placing this.
Pervious concrete is designed to allow water to flow through. It can thus help recharge ground water aquifers. This is one reason it is beginning to find favor in the drought ravaged western US. The process to install and finish goes very much against the grain of traditional cement masons who are trained to make concrete impervious. The masons in the video are doing everything in their power not to consolidate or seal the surface of the mix. When this pavement has cured and is ready for use, one should be able to pour a bucket of water and watch it all disappear into the ground below with no run off. I'm sure there is a video on TH-cam or other site showing this.
Like some folks, I am skeptical of the idea to take away that characteristic of concrete, its impermeability, to achieve and admittedly laudable environmental goal. We normally want concrete to be dense and water tight because this is how it gains and maintains its strength and durability. Logic tells us that this pervious pavement will not have a useful life comparable to a normal PCC pavement.
In an era of constrained local budgets we need to come up with ways to make infrastructure last longer rather than purposely shorten its useful life.

Bet it don't react the same after a years worth dirt slowly filling in the holes, then within in a few more year wont be any different than any other road or walk way... But I am sure some one will spend the extra money on it.

@Junior Gonzalez tiene mucho sentido Junior pero seguramente debe tener una muy buena compactación del suelo para lidiar con la falta de acero, con lo que quedaría impermeable, también necesitaría un sistema de drenaje interno...el asfalto actuaria como un reservorio que va a depender del espesor de las capa

The title should read "pervious" not previous. The mix has no sand and is being poured stiff like that to purposely leave small holes for water to trickle through the concrete. It will absorb water rather than running off. I always wanted to see how that kind of concrete was poured. Looks cool when you understand what it is.
richcramify absorb water then when it freezes it will break to pieces!
i doubt it freezes in l.a. lol
timmensch well it's only 80 degrees right now in L.A. , not the coolest but it's still cool. Where I live in the valley right now it's 120 .
